Fire Mage Hamstring

As if it weren’t bad enough being at the bottom of the current DPS ladder… Now Phoenix Flames is two charges instead of three, and Scorch isn’t instant cast when it procs?

What’s wrong with you people? You are so lucky that you inherited such a brilliant game. None of you are worthy. FYI.

Fire mage shines once it gets its 2 pc tier set. You will be swimming in combustion. Chill

Instant Scorch never mattered.

Of course it mattered. It was one more instant cast that potentially triggers Pyroblast.

The current fire mage can’t sit and wait for windups. The per spell damage is too low for wait times.

I don’t live for Combustion. Keeping the chain of instant casts rolling is where it’s at.

They’ve inflated the numbers so much, they can’t seem to balance anything, and they’re terrified to introduce new gear or items that matter as a result. PVP has a shred of it’s former popularity.

How so? Even it was an instant cast, it still cost you 1 gcd, which is exactly the scorch’s cast time.
The only thing that changes is you can no longer counter spell during scorch cast time but 99.99% of mages never press that button for their whole entire lives.

The GCD is present now too. So it’s windup, plus GCD, even if it procs.

What is the point of having a spell light up if it’s not going to instant cast? That’s pretty unique.

You should research how gcd works before complaining about the things that you don’t understand.

Squeal on, projection boy.

No, it never mattered because we were flooded with resources so we barely ever had the opportunity to actually make use of it, which is why it was rarely talented into. With the tier set we have even better Combustion uptime, meaning we still have plenty of instant casts to make use of once we get it.

Learn to speak for yourself for a change. I use scorch all the time. Constantly on the move, especially in pvp.

The change is remedial at best.

Are you illiterate or just trolling? The instant Scorch never mattered because the cast time was the length of a GCD, so either way you’d still be locked for the same time by either hardcasting it or getting it instant. How you got that Scorch itself was irrelevant out of my sentence is beyond me.

Either way we were still flooded with resources before 11.1 and it was hard to make proper use of it, and since one of their goals was to dial back on the resource thing, it’s one of the things they’ve removed.

With the season 2 tier set, Sunfury still has good resource management, but Frostfire got screwed over with the Excess Fire nerf. Instant Scorch will not be missed. Heat Shimmer was barely even considered as an option in PvE and I couldn’t care less about PvP, but if this is what you’re hung up about, there’s a PvP talent for it in there now.

You get the GCD whether it instant casts or not. To say an additional windup time doesn’t matter is ignorant. As for your whining about your sentence, you’re inventing words that were never said and still refusing to speak only for you and it’s pathetic.

Get over yourself.

Oh my god, you actually are illiterate. This is exactly what I and someone else were talking about when arguing about the instant cast not mattering. Whether you get it instant or not, you get locked out for the GCD for the same time since Scorch is such a fast cast, it’s about GCD length!

I write and speak for a living, desperation boy. I also know how to do math, and fully realize that an instant cast plus GCD is shorter than a windup plus GCD.

This change is remedial, just like you.

What are you talking about when you speak of windup? Is this supposed to be the cast time? Because if that’s what you’re talking about, it’s factored in the GCD. For someone that writes and speaks for a living you sure lack a basic understanding for this.

I’ve wasted way too much time on you already. Go squeal at your family or something. They have to put up with you.

lmao classic, speaking bs and now you’re mad you were called out on it. Maybe if you hadn’t jumped straight to being abrasive as soon as you were proved wrong, this could’ve been a more pleasant discussion. I don’t envy the people that have to deal with you either.

You’re actually telling yourself I’ve conceded something to you? That’s precious.

Your ego is really something to pity.

If only your decency.

You’re trying to tell me that 1+1=1 and it’s hilarious. Every time I punched that flashing scorch button last night and had to wait, it told the truth even if you won’t.
