Fire mage essences: what do you think

1

Major: lucid dreams (half cdr on fireblast every combustion? Yes please)
Minor1: blood of the enemy (with all the free crits fire gets, this seems like itll have a high uptime)
Minor2: vision of perfection (lower cd on combustion!)

My major and minor2 do seem to conflict with each other.
I havent tested this… just what i think.
Any thoughts? What are you all doing? Have you tested this?

Going off of Bloodmallet .com
I would suggest,

Major1: Lucid Dreams

Minor: Condensed Life Force

Minor2: Crucible of Flame

However, I think you can switch around Lucid to Minor 1, and Life-force to Major, because of whats good about Lucid, is the minor proc, the major effect is nice, but it won’t be as good as Life-force Major + just Lucid Minor.

But it’ll be a while for that in the first place. Just focus on Lucid and Crucible until you get Life Force

I . curious if anyone has done the math to know if Lucid dreams affect AZ trait selection, ie: should we stack blaster master more ?

I bet so!
My minor testing with LD made it sooo much easier to maintain and prolong BM stacks.
They synergize very well

Wouldn’t do that. Lucid major is huge for Fire, especially if you have 3BM.

I agree, planning on doing that.
You think using the combustion cooldown reduction minor essence with Lucid as the major would be good? Its gonna make gaps in the cooldowns lining up, but seem good still.

I cannot see Visions being good because it ruins some things like the synergy with Combust and Lucid. I also have Sinister gladiator’s badge which is our best on-use trinket, and thats also a 2min CD, so that would get ugly

Balefire branch from WCM is 90 sec cooldown, would line uo with Vision essence.

That being said, i agree badge is still best. I am trying to take into account how incredibly important combustion is to our DPS, and weighing whether or not a ‘weaker’ combustion is worth a shorter CD.

I agree with what youre saying from a ‘flow’ perspective, as the spec feels overall better and more natural with all these cooldowns lining up. Hopefully it works out on paper and in practice too!! Cant wait for accurate sims and testing!

Edit: might be an essence that is impacted by what gear you have??
