Going by ilvl tiers 220, 230, 240 etc etc etc, how much dps should you be doing with a basic fire mage rotation?
Try simming yourself is my best recommendation for this, a lot of variables come into play in the form of talents, stats, and trinkets so it’s best to sim your own mage to see how much it may do in ST/add cleave.
All I know is I can pull 80k DPS on fire mage in open world ZM thanks to those buffs you can buy.
220 to 240 will make almost no diff thanks to blizz
You’re kidding yourself. 220-240 is the difference between low-end LFR and late-Heroic for 9.1. There’s a huge DPS shift there and even with the 9.2 item level increase it’s going to be noticeable

Fire is in a strange place right now. Massive damage inside of combustion windows. Anemic outside and f them.
agreed theres a big difference between 220 and 240, I’m 252 right now and the jump from 236 to 250 was imo a huge shift talking 2-3k additional dps which is a lot. as for 80k dps in zereth mortis, even with the buffs I find that very hard to believe, I could be wrong but 80k dps? that sounds like a stretch of the imagination.
