as the title says . which is the best covenant for Fire mage? i saw that they said night fae - is it right or another one is better - reached 60 and have chosen Night fae but i have a doubt as i have akready 3 toons night fae
89% of all Fire Mages are Night Fae…so it is probably a safe bet

Nightfae is amazing, because when you select Kindling as your end talent, combined with the fact that nightfae has access to 2 offensive conduits with all soulbinds, plus the class ability (Shifting Power) which lowers cooldowns, it means you can get your combustion cooldown lowered dramatically each fight, which means LOTS of combustions. Very very fun in M+ and Raids.
Plus we get soulshape which is another blink basically. So loads of damage and loads of movment. It basically is THE BEST.
If you want a different change of pace you can go kyrian with your fire mage. Night fae is still technically better overall, but a lot of these numbers are subject to change with tuning passes.
As it stands, the kyrian radiant spark ability can help you pump out some pretty sick damage with your fire crits. The free potions from the steward are also great in a pinch when you need a bit of healing to stay alive, which can be something that mages lack in their basic toolkit.
