Just why… why do you guys feel the need to entirely remove a spec from arena… a spec that has been underperforming since s1 and you continuously nerf it to the ground. I’d really love to hear your guys thought process? Do you just want all fire mages to quit? you guys already made about 40% of the mage players quit already with the changes… Literally 1 mage got r1 in s4 HA… You guys actually blow my mind.

Soon larry will be too if he isn’t already. If they ever make fire a sustain DPS pressure spec I’d prob be happy with just that.
This would be fine if they gave mastery scaling with versatility since its our dominant stat for arena. You also don’t have to spec Master of flame for any reason other then trying to make an ignite based build.
If your just playing standard Setup/RMP based style your build should be this

yeah i have similar thoughts then i realize how many times ive kiled a frost because he was mongoing frostbolts too hard and got locked and died cause no block/caut
then i queue into fire and kick them doesnt matter since they have 4 spell schools, nearly immortal, caut not doing enough dam to the mage and giving a 150% speed boost for some reason, db on too short of a cd, toxic dmg profile
icing on the cake is when you finally somehow drop one of those immortal gods and they go into a seed and their rogue buddy easily peels the DPS and they come back to life. it’s glorious.

Well the good news is, unless I missed something, there won’t be any seeds or shifting power to carry them to 30 second goes.
Admittedly I’ve been too busy coping with DHS, evokers, and coping about arms to care much about fire mages.
They havent been good for awhile but agree they look useless in PvP now.

Shifting power is in the general mage tree for df. Though I feel like most mages will shoot for db and greater invis instead.
Fire has literally been S tier the entirety of shadowlands.
Not since DK/DH was meta
