I never would have gotten the staff. Its not in my tmog list as unlocked. I need to go run firelands again on my toons that can wield a staff

I have both colors in my appearance panel.

Vendoring it would add the fire kitty to their collections.

If you have the toy than how can you not have the staff? Unless you got the toy in a miracle before the 300 staffs and 40000000 pets, or a druid was dumb enough to trade it to you.

toy will but you can permanently become one through the barber if you unlock the flamescythe

Iā€™m still not convinced about the flamescythe. Like, how did you get the toy and not the staff? The toy is a less than 0.5% drop rate, but the staff can drop multiple times in one boss. For sure if you farmed the toy on your druid you would have the staff, because the toy cannot drop on a non druid, unless you ran the raid like 1000 times with a druid in your party and they were silly enough to trade it.

Should have brought a lotto ticket, I got so many staffs and everything else I made a small fortune out of the place. Plus you donā€™t even need to equip it, when you sell any item it auto adds to your mog list.

oh i buy them weekly and never win lol. And i probably did get the flamescythe its just the appearance tab wasnt in game when I got the toy so likely vendored it before the tab unlocked it all

Impossible, transmog came out with Cataclysm, the seed pouch only came out with Draenor, some 4 years later.

the appearance tab tho came out in legion so pre legion it wouldnt unlock the way it does now

If you got the toy but not the staff, you have some ridiculous luck and you should be forced to farm the staff.

You donā€™t, if Iā€™m reading this right. Open your transmog tab on a staff character. Is the staff there? Good, you now have fire cat across the board.

If Iā€™m reading it wrong, thatā€™s on me. What Iā€™m gathering is, if itā€™s currently in your mog journal, you have fire cat. You donā€™t need to farm anything else ever again. If you donā€™t have it, Iā€™m EXTRA jealous you got the toy before the staff.

And yes, thatā€™s correct. On the PTR, my druid can turn into the flame cat at Barber Shop despite not having the toy or staff. I have the staff in my mog journal though.

I farmed that raid hundreds of times on many druids to get the toy. If youā€™d read a few more posts, youā€™d have seen that I since have found both heroic and normal staff appearances in my appearances.

Then what are you angry about having to refarm? Thereā€™s a communication breakdown somewhere.

In the original discussion it appeared we had to have in our possession the staff. And since I donā€™t have that after having vended it out because the tooltip never said it had the firekitty proc, it would mean farming it again.

Ah, ok. Yeah, it appears that as long as you have the mog available, fire cat is, too. Youā€™re all set =)
