Finished Pandaren starting zone no Shaohao's mount

Try logging into MoP Classic and picking up the quest from the Board (for Westfall/Barrens, etc). I got it after doing this and logging back into retail. Several others claim that this worked for them also.

It won’t be a gift. It’ll just be in the mount list. There’s no achievement, fanfare, unwrapping or anything.

The Shaohao’s Sage Serpent is indeed presented as a gift to be unwrapped.

Did you also get your 6 month mount or just the Shaohao mount?

Relogging on the Pandaren will fix this.

I was having the same issue, so I tried simply logging on the Pandaren and then logging out (without picking up any quests or going to the call board. Another thread on the wow forum was saying the Call Board does it, but that’s not necessary.) And that did the trick. Hope this helps others. Relogging seems to kick in the fact that you’ve chosen the faction and moved on to the capital city.

Just the Shaohao mount. The 6 month has yet to appear. Opened a ticket and they said “Wait till the 31st you’ll get it”

FWIW, I didn’t have to do anything special. I sparred with Varian and turned in that quest, exited MOP, immediately logged into retail, and it was waiting to be unwrapped.

I suspect everything else people said they did was actually just delay in delivery that coincided with the other stuff they did.
