At least in MoP they added the IoT rare trolls that dropped rep tokens for 1000+ rep each for every faction.
Plus the only faction that really gated you was golden lotus for VoEB

Yep. I didn’t mind them and got exalted with almost every rep that expansion… except the August Celestials. I managed to always forget that they existed.
I can see why folks thought there were too many dailies in MoP though because there were a lot.
I liked most of them though. They felt relavent to their respective faction–like I was actually helping them.
Meanwhile we draw circles with world quests…

I actually liked it in MoP, where the dailies rotated so you saw a different set of them daily. Kept things from being as monotonous as the previous xpacs by just autopiloting through the exact same things daily.
Mechagon is sort of like a scaled down version of the MoP dailies. Except it’s only one faction and an island of half robot short people that I care nothing about. Don’t mind the mechanics/system of it. I just do. not. care. about. rustbolt.
I also like the hybrid system of Naz’jatar where you have some rotating dailies from your follower (friend? helper? Whatever they’re called), but also world quests.

I’m 500 rep away from being exalted. I don’t even care about the race, I just really wanna do the story with Vol’jin’s ashes. Sucks there isn’t a boss I can grind for it like there was in Legion and the High Mountain.

They also didn’t have fatty 1500 rep rewards, took significantly longer to do per day and were… A TIME GATED REP GRIND.
I mean, if you want to do the same 5-6 quests for 30-45 minutes every single day for a total of 500-800 rep for 4-5 weeks straight instead of popping in every once in awhile, doing 4 quests in 10 minutes for close to 2k rep for 4-5 weeks straight then sure…
People without blinders understand that blizz is throwing the laziest of game design at us. Rep grinds, Azeroth grinds, rng on top of rng. Collecting toys and pets has replaced content.
Need players to log in everyday? Put .003% drop mount on a targetable once a day mob. Solved.
Everything is lazy…except maybe hive mind quests and there’s what 2 of those per expansion?

you sure you got that in the right order? coulda swore it was the other way around… i mean, i got like 200 rep per klaxxi daily, while i only get 75 per WQ… oh, plus 10 more cause of my contract…
There is also that rep event weekly that comes around sometimes should help you out at one point.
Yea… and how many Klaaxi dailies did you get? Oh… that’s right… about 4. And Klaaxi’s were on the high end.
Do the math. [emissary]1500 + [wq]4(75) = 1800 rep.
I use to count to myself every day for dailies. It’s only 28 days… I can do this. It’s only 27 more days of the same bull****, I can do this. Every single ****en day. Now I just keep track of my start date and my end date. Hop on, do my 4 quests (or 12 if I’m feeling feisty and want to knock out all three) and still get exalted in the same amount of time. I get variation, I get selection… I get so much more.
Dailies can burn in hell and you’re a damned fool if you think they’re better in any way.
Oh but it’s soooooooo worth it.
And WQ aren’t timegated? lol. There are like 8 you can do in a zone every 6/12 hrs that are the only way you can get rep after you do the quests. Those 8 WQ will give you around 600 rep which is so bad.
They are, I’m merely pointing out that dailies are very much time gated also. A much more grueling, repetitive, monotonous time gate.
If Blizzard is going to timegate no matter what, then WQ is the better option between the two.
i dunno man, they felt better to me. more organized, more based on the faction, and it felt like i got more rep with’em (probably not, but still)… but to each their own. you like the jumbled, timed, mess of wq’s we get, more power to you. i just preffer not feeling like i have limited time to do a quest.

You do have a limited time to do dailies… one day. If you don’t get them done by 8:00 AM then you just missed a full day of rep you’ll never get back.
I like rep grind as a concept, especially with paragon gifts.
But FFS…bring back mob kills, dungeons…hell even crafting…other means to get rep.
Unless your goal is to burn people out in 3 months…
Stop artifical time gating…we see through it…its not fun…just…stop…

If you played you’d have it already. We all did the grind, its not that bad.
Came back 3 weeks ago or so and I’m exalted with rustbolt and 200ish from nazjatar.
Just play the game and you get the rep. Warmode helps, rep contracts help.
Wouldn’t count on it going away any time soon. Rep grinding has been a staple of WoW since it was first released. The only difference between now and then is there is an actual reason to grind rep. The original faction grinds gave you nothing worthwhile at all. Even the exalted price discount on consumables, repairs and taxis didn’t work, it was bugged so that you never progressed past the revered 10%. They didn’t have achievements either, so there was quite literally nothing that made the grind for rep worth the effort.
