Finding stealthies

can someone please shed the light on how these people are using abilities and finding stealthies without coming out of stealth themselves

could you give an example, for clarity?

if im on my druid, rogue or hunter and walking around stealth and i get incapped, sapped, stunned. or the latest one i have seen was a pally throwing judgement at me on my druid while im stealth. things like that

if there able to do anything like that while you’re stealthed its because you’re to close to them

people see you and use an ability, is what it sounds like

sap doesn’t break stealth

#showtooltip Sap
/cleartarget
/targetenemyplayer
/cast [harm, nodead] sap
/stopattack

if that was the case then i would be able to see them but cant

Rogues can either fan of knives or spam sap you. If they spam fan of kinves and get you out that means you got unlucky or they saw you in stealth but couldn’t sap in time so they just fan of knives. Rogue can also use a macro to spam sap on the nearest enemy to instantly sap them if they happen to walk over you while you are stealthed.

Druid using incap roar is complete rng and just means you got unlucky

Hunter flare is random and just means you got unlucky

Also if they get the eye that spawns in arena they can see you for I believe 12 seconds

Idk what causes one person to be able to see a stealth while the other can’t, but if they walk too close to you or vice versa, you’ll be visible briefly.

Sometimes you just get lucky and can guess where someone goes and randomly aoe them out. I got 3 Rogues out tonight randomly with shadow crash and fear.

hunters have innate increased stealth detection
feral stealth is better than regular stealth

all other situations are likely latency issues

is this true?

and yeah op; hunters have increased stealth detection, other than that it’s likely you just got found by the other stealthy randomly

I wonder if you may be defaulting in your stealth pathing? Honestly, alot of rogues walk the same paths to initiate their go, in arena at least. Seems the case, in the rat leagues where I dabble.

ye
feral has a passive that makes their stealth even better than rogue stealth
dont think its active for non-feral druids though

didn’t even know, good looks

Also wish to add to this. If you become visible to the player, even if you cc them, you’ll stay targettable longer if you’re in their LoS.

For ex, if a rog saps me while I’m facing him, and I see him in stealth. If he runs away the direction I’m facing I can still keep him targeted for a distance. If he goes past and behind me, he will disappear relatively quick.

I’ve had a lot of rogues log over and whisper me because they stayed in my Los long enough for my pet to run over and smack them because they didn’t realize this.

Stealth detection is directional, and mobs/players have better stealth detection in front of them

I hate this honestly. Sub rogues should have the best stealth in the game, at least on par with Ferals.

hunter stealth sucks

it’s so sketchy that if earth ele walks over you it’ll pull you out from the taunt pulse

feral stealth and rogue stealth are the same. Prowl by default is weaker, which is why feral has a passive that reduces stealth detection against prowl.

Pretty sure that’s just the nelf passive.
