That being said, I don’t like the jump between Trust level 2 and 3. It’s a huge gap. I would have liked at least the ability to post pictures to require a less commitment; not everyone is going to be posting just silly gifs/memes. I actually wanted to make some guides with cool pictures, but that would mean I’d have to participate here for more than 2 months every day. There are other forums that are far less volatile where one could do it, so this “forced trust level gap” actually drives away some of the content creators.
I’ve been trying to get trust level 3 for the past few months and it still seems to elude me. I have 26k+ posts read. Wish there was a mechanism to check your progress towards trust level 3.

I really don’t get what is keeping me from Trust level 3. Can someone tell me?
Most likely posts read as you have to read 20,000 of them every 100 days. Your forum account was created close to the beginning of these forums and have a little over 20k posts read.

the 20k read sucks i’m on here daily and don’t even get NEAR that meany I bet blizzard doesn’t even read 20k posts every 100 days.

It’s not like there’s a lot of mystery around whether you have gained level 3 or not. If you want to know, just try to post a link.

Still haven’t regained trust level 3 here. Darn that little joke about the real life “Kerrigan.” Too Soon, I guess =/ Wow, she is only 3 years younger than I am; Time flies.
I dislike this system. There was a time I wanted to share a SS (of WoW) with the community on the forums and I was unable to. Also I wasn’t able to share a link from a WOW fansite (wowpedia), and I was trying to give compliments. Due to this trust system.
I think the trust level should not effect peoples ability to post pictures or links. “Well this sounds like a recipe for disaster.” No, it sounds like every single forum I have ever visited and that is the whole point of a moderator.
Maybe the trust level can stand for something else. I don’t really understand or like the concept.
This is not a complaint, this is a suggestion.
I would like the forums to be like every other single forum and people not be limited in what they can share. Also this would be nice if they could implement the change before the launch of Shadowlands.
The actual posting of links became an issue at one point when there was rampant malicious links being posted and the moderators couldn’t keep up with it all. So they disabled outside links altogether since. Banning people didn’t really do much as it was compromised accounts or accounts paid for with stole credit cards.

Hey, so I see that my trust level shows Trust level 0, level 1 and level 2 (the same as the OP) but I can’t post GIF’s yet. When I go to my Profile “Summary” it says Trust Level member. Do I just need to wait?
Edit, I also see the option to make wiki which is an indicator of Trust Level 3 so maybe it is just a time game.

yep, just like that. Eventually someone comes along with r3 and posts it for those who don’t have the energy to copy/paste the link.

That’s actually level 2 ability. Was originally level 3 but was moved to 2.
Oh that’s new. Will need to find someone who is level 3 to see what theirs say as I let my level slip. Reading 20k posts is such a pity.
Mine says ‘trust level regular’ and I can post gifs
