Finding Friends in Exile's Reach

I introduced a friend to WoW and I want to help him quest in Exile’s Reach. I created a new character so I could meet him there, but whenever I “Add Friend” I get “Player not found”

He’s getting frustrated and i want to help him - how do we meet up?

Please help.

Are either or both of you on a trial account.

Make sure you’re both on the same realm. If you are on different realms and you try to add just a character name, you won’t be able to find him. Try adding via email address or battle tag as well. (depending on how close of friends you are).

Thanks Nok: We are both full subscriptions. Him new, me since 2005.

Thanks Zip: Will check that out. He started on my realm but has had so many ups and downs and tried new characters, he may have inadvertently gotten himself onto another realm.

If we are still on the same realm, any other ideas?

But just to confirm, it is allowed, isn’t it, to join a friend in the starter area if I start a new character too?

for Exiles Reach, I beleieve both characters would also need to be the same faction. Cant group Horde and Alliance together.
