How does this work? I’m aware of the guild forums, but that’s all people from different servers. How would I go about finding a guild on my own server? No posts on the realm forum.
Is this the business plan? Pay to transfer to some other server now to find a guild I may or may not even like? Am I missing something here? No one even responds in LFG chat.
depending on what guild you’re looking for. I’m going to assume this is for raid? Either go to your server forum or log on your server during peak hours and keep an eye on trade chat people advertise there all the time. The other way is go to wowprogress.com and look up guilds in your server and /who the guild in game and ask the players if they’re looking for people
those aren’t real guild and just put off people which make people think guilds are very unsocial
I think my realm is dead. I’m the last post (almost) on my realm forum, and that was from almost a year ago. No one talks in trade chat. Also, I have no idea who I’m talking to in chat because I see people from all kinds of different servers now. How does that even work? I assume I can’t join guilds on different servers.
Not even looking for a raiding guild either really. Just some ranked pvp and hangin.
nope unless they’re connected to said realm. Sadly the best way to do is either create a toon on a realm you want and see if there are guilds there or go to wowprog again and whisper players on said guild.
Most guilds participating in average levels of content are not going to go out of their way to recruit members from the forums / other servers / third party sites. You’re going to find most of them in-game. Don’t leave Trade Chat if you want to see guild ads. You can run into guilds while pugging content too. Many guilds have a solid core but not a consistent 15-20 people for raids or whatever, so you’ll pug and find that 7 of the people there are all in a guild. But the chances of them being on your server are basically zilch, so…
Yeah. Basically wait for the in-game guild ads.
You can prompt it by actively stating what you’re looking for.
If the server isn’t dead, you’ll probably get someone posting their macro or a whisper or something before too long.
If your server is dead, I mean, it doesn’t really matter how you’d normally find a guild, you’re probably better off just rolling on a more populated realm if you’re not a solo player.
Oh, I’m talking about retail tho. Classic I have no issues finding a guild. BUT, as mentioned above, the guild button area has a listing of different recruiting guilds. I had no idea that was a thing now. I’m used to pressing “O” on my keyboard for guild stuff.
Copy/Paste the following into trade chat on your realm:
“Amazeballs DPS now considering requests to join your guilds. I’m trained by Maximillian of Northshire and quite skilled at slaying dragons. You’ll need me when DF hits, trust me. PST the perks of your guild. Those offering a signing bonus go to the top!”
