Finding a group for high M+ keys

Hey all!

I don’t actually know if there is a better home for this post, but I would love to be able to find a group of people that enjoy pushing high keys as a group. I’ve pugged my way up to 3500 as a ret paladin and I’ve heard of the title which would be fun to push for but it seems like keys are much easier to run with a consistent set of people and pugging doesn’t always guarantee that.

Especially when it’s just done casually, I don’t currently mythic raid (not opposed to it) but I will say it’s disheartening to try to pug into 28/29 keys and constantly be asked if I have the legendary and alas, blizzard RNG is not kind so I constantly get declined just because I don’t have the legendary yet. “Bad Luck Protection” can suck a cheezit. XD

So if anyone has any recommendations, or if there’s anyone looking to push some higher key content let me know!

First of all, congrats on your achievement of hitting 3500, especially through pugging - I’ve seen what that can be like.

I unfortunately don’t have any real advice to give you because I’m just a 2500 pugger pleb. However, I know there are a few discords out there that might be a good place to start. For example: There’s a channel in the Mythic Plus Friends discord dedicated to forming consistent groups and I frequently see 3400+ players posting in it. I also know that a lot of the high-end players have circles of people that they add to their friends list and can ping when looking to do keys.

That’s about where my knowledge stops on the subject, but I wish you luck on achieving the title!

Edit: Typo.

i have advises:

  1. post on recruiting

  2. add as many healers and tanks to your list even if they are slightly lower IO than you so you can use them to catapult yourself to a team, finding a team that is the same io and the ideal comp its quite hard.

  3. join keystone friends discord, i havent frmed my team yet but i have meet amazing players and other not so amazing players in that discord its hit or miss.

  4. “grinding a team is not = to grind IO.” what i mean with this is that you will have to go into multiple trials or trial out people see if the io difference is or not a big deal see comps find the comp etc.

  5. spam your info on discord and forums and hope someone does the whole chore, but then dont complain if you cant get into a team fast enough.

  6. initiative pays off often, also multi speccing.

those are my pointers

feel free to hit me up

hey man i managed to form mine, just follow up those steps and take initative everyone wants to join a group that has it all already try do the hard job of getting everyone togueter

As a title level player for few tiers. It’s all networking. Build a strong bnet list then message a tank and healer and one dps. You got a core 4 man, then find what you are missing for the fifth.

Just message people and try set up times. Be good at communication. If you can shot call that will open many doors as a dps should do shot calling in high keys.
