Did it ever? I don’t recall it doing that, and honestly if it did it would be really annoying.
Why is it broken? If Bloodpetals were never visible via Find Herbs, you’d cry if that was ‘fixed’ because that would be Literally Retail™.
Do you use the add-on gather mate? I think it shows where they are if you select to have them show. I suppose herbing could have shown it at one point, but it would really clutter the mini-map when herding down in Ungoro, and I just don’t remember that.
Also I know some quest/herbs show up while on a quest, but don’t think there is an actual quest for these other then the daily, which wont show up in your quest log.

Well I can’t recall if it did in vanilla its simply been to long, but pretty sure they weren’t showing up for me since the start of classic till now.
Also, on a different note, are they even a herb? or are they just a baby monster that hasn’t hatched yet.

No I can only say I am happy if they don’t show up and its an excellent change, as the last thing I want to have show up when herbing is worthless things like blood petal sprouts.
well i need them because i’m trying to farm the recipe for elixir of brute force which can only be obtained in the gift package you get from bloodpetal sprout turn ins this grind is going to be impractical without find herbs working.
look who suddenly wants Retail in their Classic.
1.12 isn’t retail
Making it easier to find herbs is making Classic easier which makes you grinding an Alchemy recipe easier which means what you want is Retail.
It was added patch 1.12.1, which Blizz didn’t use. That patch also had the ‘new’ mount changes (the big cost moved to the riding skill, not the mount), and Warlock minion voices.
That makes a lot more sense, especially if they choose not to release the patch, its one of those things that sounds good as an idea, but in practice it would make herbing awful in ungoro so could see it getting stopped.
well I definitely recall it working in SoM I guess classic era is on a different patch now?
Perhaps if anything it was simply broken in SoM.
bloodpetal sprouts aren’t herbs, they are treasure. gathermate shows them as such.
oh, does dwarf find treasure work on them? no? didn’t think so
