Find Fish Pools - BFA

I have been leveling an alt that I didn’t level fishing prior to the Launch of BFA. Are there any other options for “Find Fish” other than Weather-Beaten Journal.

  1. Is there a BFA Equivalent?
  2. Can I use it on BFA Leveled Fishing?
  3. or Do I have to go back and level the pre BFA Fishing.

I seem to recall you have to have fishing at 100 to use it but haven’t tested it.
I thought I would see if anyone knew.

As far as I’m aware there is no other source for Track Fishing Pool. I’m pretty sure once you have it it works in all zones regardless of your skill in that zone’s fishing. The tooltip shown on Wowhead indicates that once you have the book you should be able to use it regardless of your skill level as long as you’ve actually gotten the skill from the trainer.

The book can drop from ant fishing pool or from one of the classic city fishing quest rewards.

The Wreckage pools in Zangarmarsh have a good drop rate but whenever I wanted to farm it, I ran up and down the river in Hillsbrad and around the lake it comes out of. Lots of pools.

I don’t think you need classic fishing at 100 to use it any more but even if you do, it can still drop for you if your fishing is not that high and it should only take less than a half hour to get to 100 in Hillsbrad anyway.
