After like 3 interviews with the same question…finally Ion remember the SoO skip…
Maybe the same treatment could be added to older raids like ICC…etc

Only other raids that are bit of a pain is ICC and Dragon Soul. And maybe a trash skip for Battle for Mount Hyjal.
I’m not sure if the Firelands is a pain point enough to request a skip though.
(Black Temple Demon Hunters can jump up a chain and skip to the upper levels to farm Warglaives)

Just like your name, the legacy content is irrelevant but it’s a slotmachine, RNG for a really low drop and players must do this X amount of times, therefore; players don’t want to waste a lot of time moving around the whole instance, that’s the origin of this request for SoO, it’s the same.

It didnt really take me that long to get invincible from ICC… if you run like 10+ toons its fast
OMG we can finally farm the mount and shoulders without stupidity!!!

that’s part of the RNG, some people have luck other players take years…I’d prefer if there’s bad luck protection in place or a mode like timewalking with an increase drop.
It’s tedious to run 10+ alts, also since it’s RNG, you could do it with 50+ and still have bad luck for weeks.

If theres bad luck protection its no longer fun, and the mounts are no longer rare

That’s a topic of perspective, there’s a line between fun and tedious frustating grinds…this game cross it a lot because of some drop numbers / ratio of attempts per account.
Rarity for me it’s better when it comes from challenge instead of a slotmachine, RNG its just a game of numbers as you mentioned before, I just need more alts and more alts for any specific grind, there’s still a possibility that don’t matter the number I won’t get the reward but it’s the best approach.
Even Devs acknowledge this:
"Yep, this isn’t fun. I’ve done the event a dozen times a day on my characters before in previous years and probably would be doing it again this year if I didn’t have other real-life stuff going on.
Right now, if you want to maximize your chance of getting the mount, it’s in your best interest to repeat this event every day on as many characters as possible. That’s… mathematically correct, but not a great experience."

Eh it can be a bit of a pain. I’ve had 6 Invincibles drop for me because I made all my allied race characters plate users to farm Shadowmourne and sell the goodies.
But i can see why it is a pain because you have a large number of bosses. It’s far from the worst offender that goes to Dragon Soul now that we have a SOO skip followed by the horrific experience of trying to get a mog from Battle for Mount Hyjal.
Also BoE’s will drop more frequently in legacy content which is great because for some classes the only piece to complete a set transmog is from a BoE trash drop and not from a boss (many WoD and Legion sets have this issue).

Well thats why they are rare mounts, cuz they are hard to get… if they where easy to get they wouldnt be rare mounts… like the love rocket, iv been doing the event since it came out, i think 2009 and i still dont have the mount

Maybe that’s fine for you but not everyone wants to or can participate in challenging content.
These people should have an avenue to a rare mount or mog too.

Tha only fights I’d have wanted tae skip were Galakras an’ Spoils. All other fights were fine.

And that could persist with a sort of bad luck protection, like increasing the drop by 0.1% for attempt with a limit or a currency that will take a minimum of 1000 attempts… not everyone will engage with that grind and keep it rare. There’s plenty mounts that I don’t consider rare but if you check simple armory a lot of players don’t bother to obtain. At least for me, any drop should consider the minimum of 1 character per account, Devs shouldn’t consider alt armies as a way to cheat drops, therefore; the drop should be set depending of the amount of attempts per day, week…etc

We’re not talking about a BIS trinket, we’re talking about an optional mount. Something that’s cosmetic doesn’t need bad luck protection.

There’s a huge playerbase around cosmetics because its permanent content compared to trinkets and player power that changes every patch or even can chance with an hotfix to X spell or item. That’s why we got this question asked to Ion in 3 interviews, there’s a lot of players that wanted a SoO skip.

Two skips are available through quests. 1st skip is past Gorefiend and the 2nd is straight to Manaroth.
Yeah the skip is fine but that skip has nothing to do with bad luck protection.
I know there’s a “playerbase around cosmetics” because I’m part of the player base. Just because there is doesn’t mean they should make stuff like Invincible less rare.
People’s bad luck protection for cosmetics like Invincible and the shoulders is the BMAH.
I dont think there needs to be bad luck protection. I just think no mount from a raid or world boss should be below a 1% drop chance.
