Finally! Resto Druid tuning adjustments

And it’s a 6% Mastery nerf.

Hopefully they don’t keep “contemplating PvP tuning” for another 6 months.

Don’t hold your breath. They said the same about DKs and Warlocks in 8.0 and it didn’t come until months later.

So when the tree was burned, did the lore kill off all druids ? Seems like theyre phasing them out lmao.

Sad thing is even if we get buffs, the spec just isn’t as fun or close to what it once was…

So, if this is a 6% reduction in Mastery (i.e. mine is 13%, therefore it’ll be 7%), I cannot see how Rdruid would be viable in any comp. That’ll be a massive HPS reduction. Probably like 12-15% on average.

State priority will definitely change to Haste>Verse with Mastery and Crit being pretty much rubbish.

Mastery effectiveness 100% right now next week 94% effectiveness. What you’re reading it as makes it seem like a 50% nerf in mastery effectiveness. My way will hardly make it noticeable in 99.9999% of situations. My way could be wrong but I just can’t believe they’re so incompetent as to do it your way.

Yeah you’re probably right. I have 929 Mastery = +7.74%. Itll probably mean 929 Mastery = 7.74% * 0.94 = 7.43%. Not a huge deal but not what we need right now.

Oh I 100% agree. Good news is the PTR reverted the pre BFA patch nerfs to Focused Growth. From 15-25% increased healing per stack of Lifebloom. I still think that if they give us that nerf and make clone baseline and not a talent Rdruid will be in an insane spot. The Gorecki Build of Focused Growth + Photosynthesis + Spring Blossoms is insanely good already. If we get that FG nerf reverted we’re gonna be an insanely good healing for casters that don’t move (Warlocks)

unfortunately druids are fundamentally not the ideal healer for warlocks (cyclone DR’s fear) and giving druid cyclone baseline would make them relatively worse in that regard, thats why you always see druid/mage/x

To explain it in an easy way with made up numbers while previously 1% of mastery would give you 100 healing increase per hot now you get 94 healing increase per hot.

maybe in 2v2? probly more because of druids ability to kite get drinks and do damage then anything else but then again who cares about 2v2 balance lol?

Nah, rdru strengths are when they can sit at back and hard cast nourish. Having a destro helps immensely with this

My time in Legion (S6+7) I ran into maybe 3 druid/mage/x teams over like 1600 games played above 2200+ in both seasons. Mages just have better healer options that enable them more than Rdruid does with clone. Hpal utility with BOPS/Sac/Freedom/HoJ is miles better than Rdruid clone is for them. Disc provides extra damage to fill the gap between orbs + meteor as well as Dark Arch enabling them to burst even harder. Mage wants to be MEGA aggressive right now. Rdruid really doesnt have the throughput OR the CDs to enable that aggressiveness to be successful. Rdruid doesn’t have a comp where it is the best healer. However of them all, Rdruid/Destro/X is by far the best. Rdruid can split kicks with the destro and with the Gorecki shroom build the Destro is a tanky livelord. That shroom synergy with them will only amplify once the focus growth buffs make it to live and the efflorescence (shroom) buffs go live on Tuesday. Only way I see Rdruid being the best healer for Mage is if the 8.0 Rdruid 10% nerf is reverted and Rdruid is just broken busted. Other than that they just dont have the utility to be THE Mage healer like Disc/Hpal are.

Season 6/7 resto druid/double dh is a good example of this. Noway in hell you could ever catch up to the druid spamming heals from max range.
