Finally killed Agatha after 110 wipes!

Finally after 110 wipes I managed to kill Agatha!! The migraines stopped and eventually progress was made. There was a lot of drama and about 60k gold spent on enchants and consumables (partly my fault) but I managed in the end. The issue is that the fight is designed to be dealt with in a specific way and it’s so incredibly easy to get confused with which targets you should prioritize and which ones not. Wowhead in particular is quite misleading.

My two cents:

Always pick Impending victory talent. When the adds spawn altogether almost same time and you’ve got green goop under you, you’ll need it. Also use Ignore Pain and Spell reflect in this case.

Lure Fuming adds away from the boss on a side and then kill them whenever you can. When they spawn in a group along with other adds use Recklessness + Bladestorm combo. Make sure both of these CDs are available for the group of small Umbral + Smoldering adds she spawns (fuming adds sometimes spawn alongside these).

DO NOT PANIC. Once P2 hits at 50%, make sure you avoid ALL the meteors. When combined with Dark fury and other adds the meteors are deadly. Always avoid the meteors first.

If healing imps (Imp servants) are up along with Umbral imps AND she’s casting Dark fury, kill the Umbral imps FIRST so you can break the shield and interrupt (you cannot break her shield while Umbral imps are up). If you have Intimidating shout available at that moment, for the love of God USE it on the healing imps as they will need to be ignored for a bit while you deal with Umbral imps and break + interrupt. If Umbral imps and healing imps are up but she’s NOT casting Dark fury, just deal with the HEALING imps first and focus the Umbral imps after.

Of course be fully gemmed, enchanted, use gear with sockets (if you can and want to spend the gold or farm), flask, battle potion, food buff, weapon oils, and DRUMS. Do it on all tries don’t be stingy. It makes a huge difference. And btw, if you think you’ve really messed up on a fight and want to quickly retry, just leave party. It will auto teleport you out before you die (hopefully :P)

The two cents from a player who died 1 times too many XD XD

I’d say if you beat it, you didn’t die 1 time too many! Congratulations!!

Thank you for the info. Repair bill was really adding up.

Probably a little late here but for anyone else, crusader was still healing for insane amounts yesterday so just put that on 2 boa weapons (maybe you have it already for leveling alts) and steamroll through.

Grats!

I had an 8% pull earlier and my mouse stopped working. I probably have 100 plus wipes too.

What is SO frustrating to me is that sometimes stormkeeper and chain lightning doesnt hit all the flame imps so you have to single target the rest. If that happens you pretty much need to start over.

Yeah, not gonna practice 110 attempts to kill a boss for a transmog. You know who does this timesink, Mythic raiders. You know who doesn’t do mythic raids…me! Bottom line, I have responsibilities and an actual life.

Sucks to suck, your responsibilities also include spamming on the forums hahaha

I understand where you’re coming from. It’s perfectly reasonable not wanting to put in the time given how frustrating dying over and over can be. Apparently the Archmage Xylem one is so difficult, my brother in law wiped around 400 times back in Legion and still couldn’t do it. Imagine doing him now. Agatha is meant to be one of the easiest but all of them have a high level of effort requirement!
