Super glad my reward is a mount I earned during Legion… Can’t wait to grind to 300 to earn the title ‘the tactician’ that I already have from legion…

This drove me absolutely nuts. Re-earning things I already had after I spent so much time grinding them the first time wasn’t fun at all.

^ This… I grinded the hell out of Prestige during legion… It’s like being robbed of your progress… I know the honor system is just cosmetic, but it’s like a giant slap in the face

No one has time for alts, this is BFA… but ya i have a 120 of every class.
I’m confused. Why did they need to be re-earned? I still have my stuff that I earned from honor levels in Legion.
It depends how you look at it my Honor level was divided over about five different characters. My DH, Paladin, Rogue, Hunter and Monk all had a some honor levels. When they combined them all it actually worked in my favor.
The level sorta reset and are put on different tiers now
For example, I am not honor 20 but already have the reward for honor 20 so I get no reward for getting it now

Yeah I guess they did get pretty jacked up. I got level 134 for just logging on.
Hmm. I remember it was going to be infinitely more difficult to get those tiers. I didn’t remember they moved them all or something.
I miss PvP world quests. I still don’t understand how, in an expansion that’s partially a faction conflict, we didn’t get PvP world quests. Those were awesome and amazing.

If you got too high through prestige, you actually lost out on honor levels. For example, I was max prestige, and half way through prestige levels on two other characters. So in my case, while I kept everything, I had to re-earn the last two mounts, and two titles.
Additionally, while I had Tactician on my priest due to me earning it, and it being account wide back then, I lost it because of the honor revamp on all of my toons except Shadina. It was incredibly aggravating.

You got to keep any rewards you earned in Legion. But thanks to the conversion process, someone who had earned the Midnight Courser (I think) and done most of their PvP on one character, thus having no additional honor to combine from alts, would find themselves at honor level 130 or so, with that mount they already earned at honor level 250. So they’d have to earn past it again before reaching the next reward level.
Basically it was already a horrible system, and they made it many times worse for people who had been doing what they had previously been told.
Because what we had been told previously was that honor would never be account-wide, and the honor system would be retired so these achievements could be completed as old content.
After they announced late in Legion that all honor would become account-wide and the conversion, I realized that there would be no way I would continue with the program if I fell behind in the conversion process and had to re-earn my rewards. I also guessed that it was going to be a lot harder to earn honor during BfA than it was in Legion.
At that point I had 1 character at Prestige 21 and 6 at Prestige 2, because I wanted the bear appearances.
My plan was simple: reach honor level 250 by prepatch by doing as many PvP world quests as possible on my army of alts.
I got very little sleep that month. I did 3 FFA WQ’s every day on 10 druids and 5 rogues, filling any extra time with warden tower quests. I used an addon to help me track my honor total. I reached honor level 253 by the day the prepatch hit and it ended.
I didn’t buy BfA right away. Gaining honor was my top priority the first year of it. I started another account so I could double my honor on wpvp things. I spammed twinks in low level and 110 bgs. I stayed ahead of the nerf bat, mostly. When something got nerfed I moved on to something else.
I reached my goal after no lifing the game for 3 years.
Whoever dreamed up the honor system and then made it much worse in BfA should be fired.
And the irony is, I started because I loved my bear appearances. But I can’t even use them anymore because of changes to transmog that made me choose between having an actual transmog or accepting blizzard’s choice of a clown weapon appearance for guardian that goes with nothing.
So I’m back to using the original crude artform bearform.
Actually, firing is too good for whoever dreamed up this mess.

Technically, they are. There’s no alternative. You are put on rails, and so long as you go through the content, you’re re-earning the rewards. What’s he supposed to do, never PvP again to stick it to the man?
