Finally got my 1600 achieve!

I know that I still have so many left to collect. I just need to figure out how to jam more hours into a day … hmm. Soon as I tackle that then I can start focusing on the dungeons that I have never touched (bad Kyzera!).

Congratulations! I am slowly working towards this myself, a little over 1500 but the ones I have left to gather are some of the more annoying/RNG ones to get–maybe I’ll just wait for the next expansion and ez-mode it lol

Thanks!

Best of luck with your collection!

Hooray, congratulations!

There’s going to be lots more to collect in TWW

Thanks!

Oh yeah, lots of new ones to grab there. I’ve been having fun finding them on Beta. Will definitely keep me busy once TWW launches.

Grats! Even before TWW, looks to be at least six from the pre-patch. Three from the event and three friends for Squally.

Thanks! I’m hoping to at least grab the last wild caught pets I have left before pre-patch hits.

I’m thinking I’m not going to be very good at this.

Yes, it’s back. Sorry. I was looking at the next expansion, and decided to buy it. Because I wanted to see how I would handle the grind if I could fly on dragons. And it seems they gave me a free month with it. I thought I would be able to choose when I get the free month, but no, I have to take it now.

Dragonriding was . . . interesting. There were moments when I absolutely despaired of getting it right. They also gave me a nice new dragonriding mount (although it looks more like a gryphon than a dragon). It’s Squally’s daddy.

I was riding the courses to learn dragonriding. And I tried to use my new mount for the achievements. Instead I just jumped right off the cliff and died. I did it again a second time, but I found my Feather Fall spell in time.

So, I was just using that red slow-moving dragon.

But for whatever reason, I couldn’t use my new mount. I was all set to send it in as a bug, because I couldn’t find any other dragon mount in my mount collection. But then I finally found it in my inventory. Once I added that to my mount collection, I could use my new mount as a dragonrider.

Once I finally got the hang of this, and spent all morning looking for glyphs. I was expecting to find chests on the ground or something. Someone had to explain to me that those gold things in the sky weren’t just marking the spots where glyphs were found; they were the glyphs.

That was hard to learn and there’s a lot to do, but Dragon Riding is definitely faster.

For most purely “getting from here to there” use cases, dynamic flight is wildly superior.

The main cases I choose old-skool flying mounts is when I’m doing something that involves searching for something on the ground, or landing precisely on top of something on the ground.

Generally, well worth learning to be skilled at, and hunting up all the glyphs in all the zones to maximize the toolset.

I got all the ones on Dragon Isles.

And after flying all over the place there, I suspect that if the world map were drawn closer to scale, Dragon Isles would the largest continent out of all of them.

If you wish to have all of the dragonriding talents unlocked, you will need to grab the glyphs from each of the last 3 zones. Each zone has 8 glyphs.

  • Forbidden Reach
  • Zaralek Cavern
  • Emerald Dream

I did the Forbidden Reach this morning. However, at level 62, I decided not to bother trying to fight anything.

What about the other two? Are there level restrictions on them?

You can fly into Zaralek Cavern at your level. Just avoid mobs!

Emerald Dream will be locked til 70 I do believe as you can only enter that version of the zone via the portals that you unlock at 70 during the quest chain.

It is possible you could be summoned there, but as I have yet to test that theory I cannot verify its viability.
