Finally gave FF14 a try!

Do the dragons win in the end or not.

Define “win,” because the story is quite a bit more complex than black and white.

Did the dragons triumph over the humans.

Wouldn’t have much of a game if they did. Funny enough, there was more of an attack on dragons in WoW until Candylandflight decided to bring them back for god only knows what for lol.

The dragons lost, huh? Square Enix can burn in hell.

The dragons are still there so…no? Like I said, the story is more complex than black and white lol.

The final fight in the main Heavensward story has some of the best music to this day, imo:

Actually, dragons won. I’d explain in detail but spoilers and all that.

Hindsight that would have been so much better, particularly for Shadowlands imo

There’s like 10 expansions of content and achievements to farm, you’d have to be nozdormu to do both =O

FF14 is the game I buy every 2 years, play aggressively for that month, then leave happy and never once feel like my time was wasted.

I play FF14 for the story. While FF14 writers don’t blow up a city or burn down a tree every time a character monologues, I still really enjoy the way they pace it and really like how they handle villains and how the main cast does grow/develop overtime.

LOL. You’re funny.

FF was a bit too anime feeling for my liking.

Imagine that… a game made by a Japanese company is a bit too anime…

Really? A bit too anime? That game?

Completely unheard of!

no azn mmo can compete with the Western greats!

It’s not even really an MMO…

XIV is my home but it’s boring at home right now, the current expansion is so solo focused that it feels like I’m playing WoD again and I basically raid log. At the moment Dragonflight open world with its massive outdoor group events feel like a breath of fresh air to me.

More social than retail WoW is now, people actually talk in groups, and in towns, etc. Retail WoW is far removed from an MMO, unless your definition of an MMO is endless grinding, then yeah, WoW is definitely an MMO whereas FFXIV is not.

Struck a nerve, did I?

Not at all, but feel free to think you did.
