The axe dropped for me last night. With 6 weeks left to go in Dragonflight, is it worth it to go through the grind to complete it? Is the grind any easier now than it was when the it first dropped in Season 3? Thanks.

You might as well complete it. It’s a good upgrade and you got about 2 months till tww.
This is subjective. There is no correct answer, and you know all the objective data. Yes it is your BIS and a good chunk of your dps will be from the fire damage it does.
This is a question only you can answer:
Do you want to do ~5% better for the next 6 weeks and have a leveling stick with an awesome mog, or the 100k or whatever it costs now to make it?
And just to experience the change in rotation and the whole swing that gets you killed sometimes.
It costs 100k? Lol I did not know it costs gold also. May shaman never get a legendary.
I’m not sure what the mats cost now, but for sure it won’t be trivial. I of course bought them so I was ready to make mine, got gouged like hell, then the damn thing took forever to drop.
The mats were about 30k on my server, but there’s also a time grind to get some of the mats. Does anybody know what the grind looks like timewise? Thanks again.
The grind as far as I know while easy when I did it in a night hasn’t really changed. Just jump into a LFG and do it with others on it.
If you like mog it’s worth it.
A half to full day max. If you doing non-stop eh 8-10ish hours
Most the waiting comes from the super bloom grind.

I have a Pally with the Axe already, and I still run my DK through Amirdrassil to get him one. If my DK got my second Axe, I would probably still spend the mats to finish it a second time, even with a month left.
It is a satisfying chop. Chop chop chop.
Of course it is, go play the game.
If you manage to max out out the iLvl you will not be replacing that until RAIDS and M+ in TWW if the test servers are anything to go by.
If that’s valuable to you then go for it.

Definetly do it. It’s a sweet mog and I did heroic every week for it when it launched. I was lucky and got it week 6 or 7, and that felt like it took forever. I had the mats pre bought before it even launched and payed waaaaaay to much. Like easily over 1.5 million in mats. Oooof.
Tbh once I got it that was probably the most fun I’ve had this expansion on that quest chain. I did it in one sitting and I think got three hours sleep that day. What made it fun? Doing super loom groups raids with most people also doing the Lego quest, all chatting about how excited we were, how many more blooms needed, how to min max the quests etc. it was really fun with so many rando people happy to be questing and actually talking to each other. The wep for ret does a huge amount of our damage as well.

The superbloom is the one that takes the longest. If you have friends that can throw a buff on you, plus their alts, this isn’t too bad. Like 3 or 4 of them if you get all 3 bags, the more friends that help you the faster this will go. Cast your first completion buff on yourself.
The rare farming feels bad until you figure out you can force the one in the event to spawn multiple times and that event is on a regular interval. (lasts a half hour, then takes 15 minutes to respawn as I recall, maybe I have that backwards)

Great tip to try and cap the last boss multiple times by realm hopping. I think there is also the rares you gotta kill quest. There is an event that spawns and you can spam those multiple times to be efficient. I forget the name of the event but it’s also on a timer and you can spam kill while they respawn, makes that quest go much faster.
For superblooms you could do this before when they were popular but I don’t know about now. You join a group in lfg for superblooms, kill the boss, drop group kill the boss again, then join another group for the 3rd kill. But with few people doing them I doubt that will work well any more.
