Current on SL beta:
Final Reckoning Talent
30 yd range
Instant 1 min cooldown
Requires Paladin (Retribution)
Requires level 50
Call down a blast of heavenly energy, dealing (250% of Attack power) Holy damage to all targets in the target area and causing them to take 50% increased damage from your Holy Power abilities for 8 sec.
Passive: While off cooldown, your attacks have a high chance to call down a bolt that deals (50% of Attack power) Holy damage and causes the target to take 10% increased damage from your next Holy Power ability.
What I want:
Your Avenging Wrath is now a 1 min cooldown but only increases your damage, healing, and critical strike chance by 10% instead of 20%. And then does all the same things current Final Reckoning does on your current target. I.E.
This would go miles in smoothing out our damage. It helps control the button bloat for ret as well.

I love this idea. Maybe increase the duration on wings a few seconds as well? Enough for a couple more globals at least.

I think this is an awesome change and would be excited for it.
You’d get 2 TV crits every 2 minutes instead of 1 which would be a nice buff too.
Button bloat reduction would be cool, but currently Seraphim already gives us burst windows every 45 seconds. It’s around a 35% damage increase right now if you multiply percentages together (don’t add). Not sure why all the hate for it. I guess the fact it costs holy power is what is annoying people?
Personally I’d change it to last 20 seconds. 33% time increase. And then lower the stat gain by 33% to compensate and result in the same DPS gain overall.
wouldn’t that be too much for a talent? why would you ever want to pick another one? would be better on sanctified wrath.
Sanctified wrath would be best for aoe, crusader is a bigger longer burst window, my final reckoning would be more sustain, smaller more frequent burst windows.
This would be nice, but since it’s nice it’ll never happen especially with it being this close to launch.

Eh, so if you take out ret burst what will it be good for? Might as well just hand out lvl60 characters. There are other classes to play if you want a consistent dmg spec imho.
Wings as the big cd is fine, the spec just needs its non cd dmg to be brought back to Cata-WoD levels and tone down this 6 globals to do big dmg thing.
And decent mobility again… “Hope wanes…”

Many rets ask for less burst because they feel that’s how blizzard justifies our low overall damage.
We can also look at the success of the minute mage build to see what a 1 minute wings might look like.
“Many” rets seem to forget most of the burst in Bfa comes from Azerite traits, once they’re gone you have to be careful when asking for a burst nerf, might end up having no burst and no sustained dmg.
I don’t think blizavision has any idea of what it’s doing with the spec though, hopefuly they’ll just tune numbers to make ret sustained less pitiful. That would kind of fix 1 of the many problems with the spec.
