Final fantasy lacks that little magic✨

How so? You think in a game where the garlean empire has literal mech suits, advanced air ships, etc., something that has been a staple of final fantasy for a long time, a sports car from on of the other final fantasy games is some how immersion breaking?

Unicorns are fantasy items, they don’t fit super well, but they fit.

The motorcycles are still within the style of WoWs overall aesthetic, it’s nothing like FF’s sportscar which doesn’t fit… at all.

What roads does it drive on?

The same roads everything else goes over. But sure, assume that a car needs modern paved roads to drive on.

You mean the roads that are required to run the car on in ff15?

Well since you need the context.

When the cross over event starts you come across the FFXV guy pushing his car because it won’t drive down the road.

The magitek guys that work in FFXIV show up and take the car to figure out why it doesn’t work. In the process of fixing they figure out how to replicate it. You think they’d make a replica that’s unable to drive on dirt roads?

The thing is gaming is mostly about monetization these days.

FFXIV, while I don’t enjoy it as I said, stayed true to focus on the RP elements. That is why you see a massive migration of casual PvE players to FFXIV… but that doesn’t make the same amount of money, really. WoW is still way more lucrative. That is why it won’t change unless they have a huge drop, enough to justify a change of direction. That might happen in the near future. That is why people who still love the game and want something similar to what we had should unsub or just stop logging in, as I did. Blizzard listens with their pockets.

WoW is being developed in a way that shakes it playerbase due to profit, being shaped to ocupy the niche of being the competitive MMO, while FF goes to the opposite direction.

I don’t know why this is the thing you’re arguing about. Obviously a sportscar is immersion breaking. Running a sportscar off road and up steep cliffs and anywhere… in a land where it couldn’t go, in a world where it doesn’t fit… It wasn’t a great inclusion.

But, we can go back to my original point that the game is simply bland in comparison to WoW.

Just because you think it is, doesn’t make it true for everyone. The game literally explains why it’s there. If you can’t handle that explanation then you don’t have to play it.

That’s your opinion.

Also your opinion.

One glance at the FF mog store and I can see that it’s many, many times larger than WoW’s store.

I don’t think some people have the ability to understand what that even means, Dawnspirit.

Yes, an opinion is an opinion. Very nice, you’ve figured out what every other person has figured out, for all time. An opinion… is an opinion, brilliant.

i mean i was just saying in another thread how blizzard is expanding into mobile because of how lucrative it is with minimal investment. alot of mobile games blow pc gaming out of the water profit wise, and because they generally can just patch every few months and unlock gradually they dont need entire teams once its set up, thats not to include the ad sales.

I wasn’t talking about the game store, but the competitiveness of WoW’s content.

M+, RWF, Ranked PvP… that is what they are truly investing in retail. And a questionable lore too.

Want to play leveling? Well go play our 2004 classic game. That is why they came with it imo. Then bots and boosting floded classic, and suddently, Level boosts is in TBC also.

Both games have that “little magic” in different ways. Both games, meaning World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy.

Someone who is unfamiliar with the FF setting, might have problems getting into it. Everyone is different, but it’s most definitely there.

I feel like you could say this for any video game franchise really. Different things, appeal to different people.

Might not have the magic you looking for, but doesn’t leave you hating the game when you log out!

The pvp is not comparable. But hey you don’t get one shot kill. You can kill all jobs/classes… Not like wow that is so Fup! Paladins druids can’t die. They one shot you. Rogues killing in one sap and having all ccs and all defensives at the same time. The unbalance is so desgusting.

But most important they Do listen to feedback!!! They aknologe mistakes. Bit like wow they don’t listen they lie on your face and they Fup more and more even after you tell them hey this ideas are not great, “well let’s shove them in their… Eventually they will like them…”

This is one of the problems I had trying to play it a while back.

Its just not for me and I cannot get into it.

I did like almost 15 restarts after completing a few quest because I didn’t like my character and I kept bouncing around different looks =(

Another reason why I couldn’t get into it =(

I mean…WoW had those Mountain Dew Bots.

Edit - Though as you later point out they do “fit the aesthetics” of WoW really. I don’t think they were literally branded with a Mountain Dew Logo or anything.

Final Fantasy sucks.

I’m sorry but they need to get rid of fur races if you’re just going to turn them into a Karen lookalike a trigger every service worker trying to enjoy wow

How far did you get into the game may I ask?

I have never seen so many people who have decided that because they don’t like something, it’s “bad” and scream about how much they don’t like it, while trying to make up the most ridiculous claims about it trying to make other people feel a certain way.

People hating on FFXIV on the WoW forums make no sense either. You don’t have to like something. This entire thread’s existence is playground nonsense.

At least when people complain about WoW here, it’s because they want the game to be better.

Y’all crying and boohooing over other people enjoying a different game to the point you have to make entire threads about “How bad it is” are absolutely the most bored & boring kind of people.

I don’t like Call of Duty but I’m not making bait threads about how trash it is hoping someone who does like it will see it and try to defend it. Because it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks.

Y’all know WoW is in such a trash state that the only way you can prop it up is to claim it’s competition is bad, meanwhile that competition is doing better than ever.

That’s freakin’ weird.

“I can’t play it because I might see flying car and that breaks mY iMmErSiOnS.”

“FFXIV races are furries” plays a cow/wolf/fox creature in WoW

“FFXIV is ANIMU huehueheuheueehueehue” WoW’s entire aesthetic is low-rez muppet babies.

“FFXIV doesn’t give me that feeling I got playing WoW for the first time as a 12 y/o sneaking onto my dad’s account” Newsflash! You’re never gonna feel that way again because you aged and your brain doesn’t receive serotonin and dopamine in the same way anymore.

What about WoW makes it so great anymore?

Renown? BiS Covenant Abilities? WoW Tokens? PTW Legendary Equipment? !@#$ing LORE!? TORGHAST!?

LMFAO

Leaves the thread in flabbergasted mania
