There will be a day when Blizzard releases the last expansion of WoW, the last raid, its last event, and give this decades-long story an ending.
What do you think will happen at the end of all this?
I personally am a sucker for sappy romance stories and want the final event to be this spectacular raid where both factions are dropped into same raid groups who fight against all the Old Gods or something and totally purge them. Then they decide to hold a truce.
I want zooming out shots of orcs and dwarves teaching each other how to drink, humans welcoming their families and friends whoâve turned forsaken, trolls teaching gnomes capoeira, etc.
At the end, I want Morgan Freemanâs voice saying something like, âAnd so, in the end, the Alliance and Horde learned that they are more than their factions. More than their factions.â
And my god it better not pull a Starcraft II on me where the factions work together to protect Millhouse Manastorm because it turns out he is destined to be this benevolent cosmic ruler being or something!
Seriously, I still donât know what the deal with Kerrigan was there.
Without an external âbig badâ to fight, will we truly get along? The Orcs, sans conflict, started to die as a race. (Solution - send them back to BC)
Personally, I donât understand why any Universe-conquering group would ever think to come here. By and large we donât make good slaves, I doubt many of the races, jokes aside, are palatable, but most of all, all we do Is fight.
Weâre 2-0 against the Legion, at least one OG is dead by our hand, and letâs be honest, we run TOWARDS danger.
The best bet to defeating us is to quarantine the planet and check back every 100 years or so to see if weâve killed each other off.
The absolute WORST thing you can do is let us know of your existence.
Sargeras will be the final boss. I think it will be like return of the jedi, youâll see all the ghost forms of the leaders that were killed off standing together.
Realistically? Nothing will happen. They will go into an xpac with full expectations of making another and randomly out of the blue corporate will decide its not making enough money and pull the plug. Kinda like HotS.
It will be like a to be continued episode of a tv show at the end of the season and the show doesnât return in the fall.
At most we get a party before the servers shut down where the GMs spawn a bunch of bosses in the major cities.
When the last big baddie is defeated, Horde and Alliance will square off with each other. But before the first axe can be thrown, before the first arrow can be launched, before the first spear thrust can be made, the caldera beneath Unâgoro will erupt simultaneous with the collapse of Deepholm. The resultant catastrophe will tear Azeroth apart, akin to creating a second Outland. Parallel and/or alternative universes will seal any and all means of accessing Azeroth and the world (game) will simply cease to exist.
Until the next time ⊠Watch for the âunder new managementâ sign.
A space goat death star destroys Azeroth then crashes into the Argus, causing a chain reaction that timewarps said death star into Draenor. Outland just blows up.
During a climactic battle between the Horde and the Alliance, an unseen meteor coming from the direction of the sun strikes into Azeroth wiping out all life on it and any other planets connected via Portals like Draenor and Outland. We never saw it comingâŠ
Gees, guys, not even one happy ending? All of these replies involve some sort of apocalypse killing everything. Whatâs Morgan Freeman going to narrate to that?
If thatâs the way it ends, Iâd predict that when WoW finally shuts down, that will be the end of the Warcraft story on PC. If they make Warcraft 4, it will be a mobile FPS barren of NPCs, featuring only PvP combat, quests, and storyline.
Edit: ⊠which will all lead the player into eSports:Warcraft 4.
