Can it be done? Any tips? Do I have to pay people gold to run it? Help
The people that you would find adequate already have raids they’re locked to. What should actually be done is making the raid accessible to people in greens no problem. And getting rid of lockouts for anybody under a certain gear score.
Every time I hear someone advertising for BFD it’s always, “Priest, Hunter ……” needed, must know fights, must pump”
Maybe try, “Haven’t tried BFD yet? Not an optimal spec? No problem, come learn and have fun”
We’re not even a month in and the gatekeeping is nuts.
Pretty much this. How about “BFD group. All welcome.”
If you’ve seen the 2nd last boss you would realize how bad that group would fail.
I’ve seen it and cleared it. Thanks to my friendly guild that was willing to bring a noob frost mage. I think this is why we need 40 person raids. 10 mans lead to too much elitism.
Yeah which is why the problem is with the raid. It needs to be more accessible. Get rid of the DPS check or get rid of lock outs for anybody under a certain gear store. If you don’t have a core group that you are always locked with then it’s not really going to happen.
Unfortunately, Blizzard has been stubborn on this for the life of the game. People with pre-made social cliques are always catered to with gear. Meanwhile, the overwhelming majority of the player base wants pugs to be more viable.
But they still cater to the hardcore raiding minority so they can lord over the masses. Sad stuff actually.
Hardcore raiders should still have a game to play, but the rewards should be something like titles and achievements. Power progression should be a lot more accessible.
The problem is with how absurd priest heals are. Pom and pennance alone can carry the raid, plus dispels for murloc boss fear and shadow chains on 6th boss are huge.
No other healer can really compare on throughput and utility, so having at least 1 is almost mandatory
Hunters you can easily do without. Ive seen them consistently get out dpsed, and fail mechanics due to 0 iq gameplay.
But aside from that, you can easily clear the raid with practically any other combination of classes. My first 7/7 that I pugged as raid lead had almost no class stacking, and at least one of each class.
It’s a hard sell, because basically anyone who joins failed the last raid, and are hoping this new raid doesn’t get smashed like the last.
Depends on how many people and what you need. Any random undergeared fresh 25 dps will join. Crucial spots like priest are significantly tougher to fill.
Good luck. Might be easiest to fill it the night before reset, but idk…
that is my point worse now gearscore rubbish toxic player base. LFR for the win no gate keeping and such garbage. If you dont put lfr for classic i understand now not even for sod screw this wahaha worse this level 25 gear will be replace in a flash.
its a 3 day lock out… move on try again next week and use Faps on boss 6 p2… makes like gravy for them bad group.
Rogues can vanish, druids can shift, paladins can bubble themselves and freedom others, and priests can dispel, you REALLY dont need faps lol
This is a terrible idea and rife for exploitation. Just cherry pick your most absolutely god tier BFD items then intentionally undergear yourself so your raid can carry you on infinite lockouts until you get those items, THEN get the rest of your gear and carry on.
By accessible do you mean 1 shotting every boss in every pug?
I found BFD to be quite accessible. The first 5 bosses are not that hard. That’s enough to get geared for a very casual pug.
You don’t see many other groups asking for 3/7 or 2/7 BFDs. Kelriss is really the only checkpoint you have to work for.
No, why would I mean that. That’s absurd. I explained what I meant. That it could be completed just fine in greens. That people stuck at 5/7 would have no problem picking up a member to finish it in the looking for group channel.
Boss 6 phase 2 is a DPS check. You can’t do it in greens. That’s what I’m talking about.
Go back to retail crybaby or nut up and make your own raid.
Not good enough, mister Warlock. You’re not coming into 5/7 BFD raid any time because your spells are resisted by funny priests. Roll a hunter, rogue, or warrior and maybe you’ll be considered.
Training for Kelris is justified, but also people had to gatekeep because they want to clear BFD. Not be unable to.
Imagine you aren’t saved yet. Would you join a fresh run with almost guaranteed 3-5 bosses worth of loot or chance to just smack your head on a boss that they couldn’t previously do.
