Today i got an email about figure prints by squip. Is this legit or a phishing scam?

I looked it up, and it seems like a real website. They just sent you spam.

Friendly advice…If you have the money for the print you have the money for a 3D printer. As long as you have some artistic ability to put paint of something, you are better off using wowmodelviewer, and just printing your own. I made a huge version of my Guardian Druid and even gave it fur.

I got a figureprint years ago but that site seems to be dead now I get this one from squip

I wish I could link here lol. I would show you some of the quality it makes on just a 3D printer. You would be surprised, and you would save alot of money. I am slowly working on making one for all my main chars. The only limiting factor is my energy lol. I have my monk and pally printed off waiting for paint though

FigurePrints used to be a legit stand-alone site. My old company got me a FigurePrint of my first main as a 10 year anniversary present. It was legit.

They kinda went under a bit, and Squip bought them. I haven’t done a FigurePrint since Squip bought them.

I don’t.

okay so this is a legit site then that’s safe and I wont get maybe hacked or a keylogger?

That would be the concern no matter what honestly. Though, I THINK they go off of your armory profile, not necessarily logging into your account

Erthan’s life tips.

Every email is spam / malware. Just flag everything as spam and if it’s truly serious you’ll find out when the power gets shut off or the cops show up at your door.

I just stumbled upon this site while looking for decent models. I don’t have the time or care to 3d print then paint my own. Would rather just pay to have it done if I do end up getting one. The service seems legit though, just a tad expensive for what it is.

From what I noticed yes they pull data from warcrafts servers, meaning no account information needs to be given outside your name/server basics. There is a pose/outfit/dome editor where you can equip different outfits and adjust the pose or weapons and so on before buying. So you can customize it a bit, as its not just the default armory pulls appearance.

If I end up buying one I’ll post back and mention how it went. The main thing keeping me from clicking that purchase key is it takes a month on average to get it and for an impulse buy I’m having a hard time sealing the deal with that kind of a wait.

If anyone has used this company/site before, please share your experience~

Scam. I ordered from there in the beginning of April. Have heard nothing and received zero response to multiple enquiries on order status. Avoid.

Just buy a 3D printer. You can get a decent one for the same price as the figure, then use Wow Model Viewer and you can export a file to print. I did it with the MT guardian druid form, and have a huge werebear figure on my shelves now. Even added fur and such lol

It still might not be a scam, honestly. Figureprints was notorious for obscenely long wait times for their product and process, especially as time went on, and everything I’ve seen about Squip mirrors those old complaints. (People have gotten product from them.) As far as I have been able to find out, Squip just bought out Figureprints, so it’s not a new system necessarily, just new owners/management. But it still seems to be managed poorly, and unfortunately the product hasn’t aged well either, and doesn’t look like it’s received any quality or refinement updates in a decade.

Any recommendations on a good model/brand?

Currently what i’m doing with my Surly Burly Sailor Toon.

Would love to see a pic of your result.

Pics?

I can’t link because of trust level. Know of a way to bypass that? I would love to share

Anything Creality is awesome. I splurged on a Creality that does 12"x12"x10 prints and the thing it great, but that one is about $400. I would honestly read amazon reviews, and if you need me to look at a printer you find, feel free to link here and I will look at it.

I am far from an expert, but after a few years of learning from trial and error I know a bit lol
