The best thing I ever did was change the field of view in the console - it feels so honkin real and like I’m actually alongside my character instead of like - a third party playing god. If anyone wants tips like that I’ve gotcha BUT
It’s gonna be STANDARD SETTINGSSSS
/console camerafov 50
If you wanna see what I’m talking about
/console camerafov 100
To reverse it!
Huh you mean zoomed in? I’m confused

Nope - there’s a setting you can change that restricts how much you can see on either side - so that even fully zoomed out you’re still pretty personal with your character!
Think like first person pov but in third person.
I thought this was being removed. I haven’t seen it talked about in a while.
What is the console command? And what is the source on it becoming a standard setting?

Nah, zoomed all the way out is the way to go.

I saw it in the ptr, given a fully functional slider and everything!
I think it’s:
/console camerafov (range 50-100)

Setting camera view 1 through 5 and changing my scrollwheel to cycle through the 5 views was a godsend I only discovered recently leveling in classic.
What console commands are you referring to?

Up top! Realized I shoulda put that there first.
Ill have to try it next time I’m online, thank you for sharing, I’m sad I missed when the max range was higher like a patch or so ago. Never got to try it.

After delving into some ogre infested caves, visiting a few chapels, I’ve found 63 to be the sweetspot. Thus far it has seemed to help with the eyestrain I usually get from my curved monitor.

so, wait, you’re purposefully limiting what you can see?
