FFXIV has paid early access in both Endwalker and Dawn Trail. Why is everyone throwing a huge fit when WoW does it? We know that the first couple of days will be a dumpster fire of bugs and server issues. So just chill.

because you get that no matter what version you get, you have to pay extra for WoW.

You don’t pay extra for it in FFXIV, you just get it for preordering the expansion.

I know I don’t care about FF14’s early access because it’s a less competitive game.
When I was over there, most people I played with were casual like myself.
We had our own goals, cosmetics to chase, not all on some gear treadmill like in WoW, which is hyper-competitive.
You are correct! Then the new expansion launches people cant get in. Then they do and complain 1000s of people are crowding the first quest. Bunch of fools.
Atleast FFXiV has in house testing. most of their problems are just population issues causing lag, not actual bugs.

Um… you get the early access no matter what. How is that even comparable to WoW, where you have to pay extra?
Not to mention that Dawntrail gives you actual features like several new classes for example, while TWW… copy&paste dwarves (for the third time) along with some quality of life changes, that should have been in the game years ago.

FFXIV’s game was literally unplayable for weeks due to the queue when it launched last. (maybe not last, but when I played it a while ago) let’s not pretend they’re some paragon here.
Why do you think the people that complain about wow doing it don’t complain about other games doing it?
I think it’s wrong for any subbed game to offer early access. Your what-about-ism doesn’t work because both are bad.
Uh, no it wasn’t. The queue was bad but once you got through it, the game ran smooth as butter.

It’s completely fine with FFXIV.
You get early access if you preorder the expansion or buy the expansion any time during the early access. You don’t pay any extra for it.
In WoW it’s a $40 extra charge for 3 extra days of play time.

“bad” is an understatement.
They also gave us free game time, like two weeks or something, because one of the recent expansion launches was overloaded. Either Shadowbringers or Endwalker, can’t remember.
I remember just seeing it deposited into my remaining time left.
I think the most WoW has done was give us a few extra days with WoD’s launch lol.

Oh yeah, the FC discord was chatting up a storm while people sat in queue lol.
This isn’t early access, though. This is a Beta test. Huge Difference.
WoW’s had early access since forever…don’t bring your garbage game into this.
