Only this time, they dont know how stupid they sound. Apparently, WoW copied the Sundering from FFXIV…. Just have a thought about it. The sundering was in the lore since before WoW even came to be….

Who cares what final fantasy players think, they already play an inferior game so that tells me everything I need to know about their opinions and where they belong(the trash can)

There are a plethora of valid reasons why I don’t specifically engage with THAT particular community at all (especially NOT on Twitter of all spaces) if I can help myself
They are literally a cult
You can’t spell FFXIV and NXIVM without XIV

I don’t know about all that but Blizzard did kind of copy and paste the new flight stuff from Guild Wars 2 lol.

Lol WoW is trash compared to FF14.
FF14 actually has a GD who likes his players. WoW has a GD who likes his players…but only if they Mythic Raid.

evidently the FF14 players have nothing to do besides talk smack.

the game apparently is only popular when there’s a content lull in WoW

Since i play both, i actually find it hilarious that people defend FFXIV so hard, it’s not worth such fervent fanaticism. The content cycle is so bare bones it hurts. You grind tomes and buy gear, hooray.
If you like to RP it’s great, they got lots of emotes and junk. But if your only interest in content it’s always lacking, and always has been. A patch can drop and you can do everything in it on day one then peace out for 4 more months.

Best reply over on twitter: (not mine)
My enjoyment of Dragonflight has been tainted quite a bit by the fact that with the Sundering, WoW has once again ripped off my other fave game FFXIV
What really hurts is how SNEAKY Blizz were about it, trying to hide their plagiarism by doing it 11 years before XIV launched

As an FF XIV player myself, this is the first I’m hearing about this. But all I had to see was that it was on Twitter and it all made sense.

no kidding, guess Endwalker ended for them quicker than Shadowlands ended for 2/3 of the players. lol

I’m actually a huge FF14 player, and even I think that’s kinda stupid. Besides the name, the Sundering in WoW was a completely different event than in FF14. They’re not comparable, at all.
As for them “stealing” from GW2… This is a good thing. MMOs are great when they can see things other games did well and adapt them themselves. It’s not new. Most MMOs borrow from each other. If this update can make mounts even half as fun as GW2 has made them, I welcome it.

Not the same thing cause sundering in ff14 has to do with splinting reality into 14 alternative dimensions.
I’m pretty sure it was someone making a joke and since WoW players aren’t exactly the brightest bulbs in the pack, this is what happens lol.

lol aside from 1.0, FFXIV ripped off from WoW, Yoshi P even stated he got his inspiration from Cata.

It’s hard to say. Twitter is…Twitter, after all.
