To be fair - how do you think FF 14 players feel? I mean if you look in the threads your going to see people take shots at FF 14 players who point out where they feel the “grass is greener”
I think what we see is the side effect of the new approach to debate that has arisen recently - lots of folks try to tune out or mute those who might persuade or convince people to a point of view different from their own - its a big problem and one really driven home with the recently COVID treatments/vaccinations.
Let me be clear here too - I actively raid in WoW; but also have a active FF 14 account. I would be lying if I said I spent more time on FF 14; but recently I felt my ire with WoW increasing because I realize the reason I am playing WoW is because of the sunk cost fallacy more then actual enjoyment in the game. I have friends here and if they left to FF 14 I would likely uninstall and not return because I hate “chasing the dragon” that wow promotes. FF 14 is a smoother ride and my issues with it lie in the somewhat cultist behavior I see - it seems like the community is “too nice” but perhaps that is because I am too groomed by WoW’s hyper competitive nature - heck even things that should not be competitions - our community MADE into competitions (RTWF).
