27 million total over their lifetime. Wow was in the hundreds of millions before they stopped reporting.

Don’t know why people are afraid of competition. Competition is a good thing in the consumer market.

The OP is making a claim regarding FFXIV player count. The numbers they released are based off of total number of accounts created. Using that same measurement, wow has 240 million. That is obviously not the current active player count, for either game.
Time to take those shots and fill in those bingo squares everyone.

The actual number for ff14 is higher than 27million in that case but why does it matter if wow has more? Do you understand what competition does for consumers? And what monopolies do?
But since 2009 we were more than 10M players, I don’t know, despite all the mutual cooperativism that it shows in the gaming society, I still see it as very selfish for the entire community in the world, unlike WoW.
No matter, let’s hope their WoW trilogy takes old players back to the golden days, although that $90 pre-order doesn’t sound satisfactory.
