Because of level (and ilvl) sync, it can vary from easier (because of traits previously granted later now made baseline) to harder (because core skills were removed to make room for new additions, which are, about a third of the time, just clunkier version of some capacity you previously had at level 20-30). Early casual raids, for instance, had their ilvl sync set so high that bosses roll over dead, with few mechanics ever seen, while others are fine.
