I have no problem with people preaching they enjoy a game, or encouraging people to try a game to see if it’s their cup of tea. But this X is better or Y is dumb has to stop.
It’s not just FF vs WoW either, whatever you think the best game of all time is on any system… I got news for you someone doesn’t like it, and that’s okay. To stick in the FF family, even though a lot of people consider FF7 the best game ever there are plenty of people who just feel it’s “meh.” Myself I actually like FF6 more, as a kid I like FF8 more, tastes change.
You can enjoy FF, you can enjoy WoW, you can enjoy both, or you dislike them both right now. You’re right.

4 is my favorite, but as someone that played 7 the very day it came out, I can admit it was something special for its time.
my mom had to take my playstation away each night to make sure I didn’t wake up to play.
also, 6 was amazing and I would love to see it get an HD remake like 7 did.

I’ve been enjoying FF (started leveling a few days ago) but something really weird and creepy happened.
Some level 80 guy started whispering me/sent me a private tell in Gridania and he said he wanted to help me. He taught me how to transmog on there and gave me a few things to transmog into. He told me to go to his house and when I did he told me to take my gear off. You really can’t make this up. I thought he was joking, like maybe he thought being creepy was funny so I brushed it off. After that weird thing, I figured out how to glamour and we went to the airship place in Gridania and I SWEAR he told me to… do SOMETHING with him, I’m sure you can imagine what. Wtf? It scared me but I decided not to let one creepy person ruin the game for me.

WoW isn’t better for anyone anymore.

Wow is for raiders only imo. Everything is a power related grind and most casual content is just a stepping stone to a power related grind. The raid or die mentality is everywhere in wow and thats what we get when the game director and most devs only care about the new raids as features of each patch. You might say what about mythic plus and pvp? Mythic plus does not go to the same item level as mythic raiding and pvp is an imbalanced nightmare that never gets worked on

You could have said that you were on a WoW RP server and the story wouldn’t have felt any different. The internet is full of creeps, regardless of what game you play.
There is an old video of DayZ, where a guy kidnapped someone, cut his **** off, then made him crawl to him and beg for medical treatment while he laughed at him. He was eventually saved by some guy named Mr. Moon.

I’m having fun. The most I’ve raided and run Dungeons in a decade actually. My guild has been running raids for the last two expansions nearly every week and I haven’t missed a single week since the drop of CN.
I see a lot of people moaning and bandwagoning on the WoW hatetrain on the forums but I haven’t a clue why that would be as everyone in the guild seems to be having a blast.
I think popular game culture, in general, just loves to grievance monger over whatever they perceive is the popular thing to complain about.
You can have your HD remake of VI if I can get my HD remake of IX.

Sure, why not. I haven’t played it yet, only watched it during GDQ. I’m not really diggin’ the style but it looks fun. If they do an HD remake I’ll give it a play.
My only problem with ff14 besides the horrid lore is the over-sexualization in the game of women and children.
I’ve never seen a FF game release like FF7. I remember going to the mall before work to pick it up. The Babbage’s was having a full on release party, with a cake and everything. It was awesome. I’d never seen anything like that at the time. People outside, waiting for the store to open, the employees hyping everyone up. Knowing that you and all the other nerds were there for FF7!

I’ve never been on a WoW RP server, so I wouldn’t know, I’m just sharing my experience. My FF server (I did research before joining it) doesn’t have much RP if at all, it’s one of the hardcore raiding ones. I don’t think being in an RP server justifies being creepy to other people though. We were just casually chatting, not rping, and he decided when he found out I’m a girl to be weird.
It’s been so long since I picked up a physical copy on release night. I went for one of the Call of Duty titles years ago, and it was one of the wildest things I’ve experienced.
Terrible game but seeing everyone together so happy and excited was a lot of fun. Wish I could’ve gone to a WoW expansion release, but never had the opportunity because of work.
I bet WotLk release was just the best. I’m sure all the turbo nerds were out in full force for that one.
You’ve said this many times, but fail to provide proof.

No one at Ford says “you might want to try a Chevy “, or Coke and Pepsi. Or other brands. You’ll get fired, honestly.
People come here to talk (supposedly) about WoW. Not FF or others to try to convince them to play the other game. And after 5000 attempts, people get pis*ed off about and just want you to go away if that’s what you want to play
Provided plenty of proof. Lol.
Proof that you shouldn’t be left alone with children.
