Ferals are overpowered right now

So Ferals look to be getting buffed in pvp next week (guess blizzard thinks they are underpowered there) and Ferals are not showing up on anyone’s “omg look who is doing awesome in PvE”

If all you cats that are thinking this spec is awesome are having fun… great!

they seem to take some damage out of FB and put it into bleeds, which is quite good for survi, you can sit in bear form and lose less damage

Ahem, correct me if I’m wrong, but they are getting a huuuuge nerf in pvp…

So i just played 10 rounds of feral in bgs fully geared and i felt strong, by no means did it feel overpowered. I was out healed and outdamaged by both dks and warriors, and out damaged by frost mages. I averaged about 120 mil overall. I had fury warriors sitting at 400 mil. Other than a 1v1 situation which this game isnt designed around. Feral felt on par. The bite damage can be a bit much, which they are addressing. The aoe bleed damage is mostly pad damage and outside of our burst window, can be healed through verry easily.

Bite is our only real damage ability with any kind of impact in PvP which feels kind of bad. Bleeds just don’t do enough damage compared to pretty much any other dot focused spec.
A single bite easily outdamages an entire rip, and the changes next update I don’t think will make much of a difference. It’s what, 26%-ish less bite damage for 15% more rip and rake damage but since rip and rake already do such low damage in PvP that won’t really make much of a difference.

The problem is that there’s only a couple talents that only buff our rip and rake damage, while there’s a whole lot of talents that either buff ferocious bite or that buff both.
And when there’s a choice between talenting for a spammable finisher that deals 1 million damage instantly, or a DoT that does less damage over 20+ seconds, what will work out better in PvP?

I haven’t tried the bleed hero talents in PvP so maybe those make a bleed build good, but at least for world PvP or battlegrounds my bleeds seem to literally tickle people, compared with dots from other classes that feel like they just melt me.
I don’t even other fear feral druids in battlegrounds, I just focus them down and if they don’t get spammed with heals they’ll fall over dead if you stun them in cat.

Gear score makes a massive difference when starting at lvl 70. All my toons that were geared are one shotting. All the toons that are fresh lvl 70’s take quite awhile to bring down a mob.

I like the logic of “we sucked so it’s fine if you sucked before” instead of wanting Blizzard to just bring classes to the same level.

Edit: is this a PVP complaint? If so, sure nerf feral into the group for PVP but leave PVE alone.

Cry me a river

As of October 2nd. As a Ret pally, if I end up having to solo a Feral Druid, I just let it happen. I cannot kill them and they melt me even with cooldowns. It’s like trying to chop wood with a plastic spoon.

This isn’t a complaint. Just a fact.

What goes around, comes around, in the past the exact opposite scenario was in play. Tis the way of the MMO

I don’t find feral druids OP. Stun them in cat form and they fall over. Then again I’m a feral too.
My point is that I am more worried about literally any other class or spec. Outside of berserk they really can’t kill anyone in a fight where there’s a healer as their only burst damage is ferocious bite which keeps getting nerfed in PvP every update.
Talking about battlegrounds though, might be different in arena or in those 1v1 or 2v2 fights on some maps where you have no healer.

all you gotta do is press stun…than roll your face on keyboard and win ^^

Same story that it has been forever, never ignore the cat. This is why they are hyper focused in Arena and other pvp situations, We hit like a truck but fall over in a stun. Feral are the melee version of a Glass cannon. It also takes a decent amount of skill to pull it off cuz you take a huge loss with every mistake you make. Overall I don’t feel OP and I enjoy how it plays.

When I play on my lock I normally don’t have a issue locking feral down and deleting it so I cant say it feels OP from the other side of the fence either. If I had zero knowledge of how they worked tho I could see how it could be a problem, But again this is true for any class.

Feral has more dots than warlocks wtf?

Affy doesn’t do it’s damage through dots anymore. Affy and spriest use their dots to allow other damage to spread. Your dots tick for like 70k, but allow for monster damage during go windows. Same with Spriest, VE ticks for very small amounts until you are channeling something that increases their damage during the channel.

Feral doesn’t spread bite damage outside of 8 yds which basically means unless it’s a pet class you aren’t getting much spread damage from bite. Ferals damage is intended to actually come from the dot it self outside of ashamanes goes. I honestly think feral just needs ashamanes nerfed, the realy toxic part of feral atm is during ashamanes you basically bite every global which is wild af, outside of CD tho feral feels pretty meh.

Nerf ashamane CP generation and buff rip. Now feral can’t burst people for 150% of their hp in 6 seconds and it’s a rot class as intended.

yeah you ferals are monkey brained.

look at leaderboards, ferals are broken, and have been broken since day 1 of war within

Yep. Feral has everything a melee is looking for. DoT’s that hit like a truck, bites that hit like a truck with a means to constantly have multiple bites in a row as seen in AWC all hitting for 600-900k, multiple stuns, Cyclone, roots, instant heals, great mobility. OH YEAH! I forgot, mortal wounds, and a total HP reduction mechanic.

900k is not out of the norm for a damaging ability.
Yes, ferals have lots of stuns, but they are all single target stuns. Other classes have multiple stuns too with some of them being AOE stuns.
Cyclone is great, and also a great target for people to interrupt you. Also uses 2 globals to cast it.
Roots are good, but will break very easily on damage and means you can’t use the proc on a self regrowth which is feral’s only source of self healing outside of cooldowns.
Great mobility, absolutely! But not any better than monk, demon hunter, or evoker.

And the mortal wounds is one of the weakest and as far as I know since it doesn’t stack, makes it useless if you have anyone on your team with a more powerful one.

I like inviting feral druids to my groups, but it’s annoying that 99% dps druid are balance, and I don’t like them

The thing with those ferals on leaderboards.

There has been done research in the past, and its seems like a handful of feralplayers have 5-10 alts each and fill up those leadersboards, skewing statistics and making gaining raiting extremely hard for others.

The skillcap is high and actually veryvery very few play feral at that skill lvl.
