Feral - Talent and spell adjustment

Our talent row with Bash, Mass roots, and HotW looks very odd.

Why did balance gain typhoon baseline and feral didn’t gain bash? Bash would make much more sense for other druids as the feral affinity spell versus maim.

This would free up a talent slot. What should go there, I’m not sure. But maybe something like a wall of wisps that either slows or blocks targets. Literally anything. HotW is a fun addition but it will feel so bad to lose bash in content like PvP and even M+.

Feral is looking to be in a weird place. We lost SI and gained barkskin, which is weaker. We lost stampeding roar in cat form, so it’s worse, and all other specs gained access. We gained cyclone and iron fur, but bulk new druid abilities went to resto and balance. Feral just got tweaks and wound up worse off even. This doesn’t seem appealing at all.

Innervate going class wide seems to make a lot of sense. Because as it stands, from a pure utility standpoint balance and feral are so incredibly far apart it feels terrible to be a feral when your other spec just offers more. This appears to be the opposite direction that is driving class design, but feral seems left behind on it so far.

Utility is still a major concern for the spec, and I would like to see some homogenisation in moving abilities such as Innervate and Treants over to Feral.

On top of this, baseline Leader of the Pack for Feral would suitably help in the spec’s popularity in all content.

You hit the nail on the head, only thing i would add is that iron fur is useless, requires multiple gcds, and is only physical damage mitigation. Blizz really needs to wake up and finally compare feral with other MELEE dps and give us whats needed to stay even somewhat relevant. This “balancing” has completely missed its mark and anyone who plays any other spec is aware some even find it laughable.

Innervate back would be cool not sure about treants could be cool could be kinda clunky.

Lotp deffinetly agree with that one there. Monk and demon hunter have 5% physical and magic damage buffs dont see why we cant have ours back besides being a pvp talent.

From a pvp stand point losing MI is going to be rough maybe some pvp talents can be added starting with giving iron fur some sort of magic damage reduction and reducing the rage cost. Maybe give stampeding roar a shorter cooldown and or a freedom attached to it aswell.

Also would like to see a reduction in the gcds required to shift if not for all druids then feral druids specifically.

No more gcd for Feral shifting any forms. That’s what I want.

Why is druid utility being handed out as breadcrumbs in talents and everyone else is getting theirs back baseline? I guess Druids are excluded from the player agency manifesto they presented last Blizzcon.

Not even breadcrumbs, the new bt design is about a 6% overall nerf since bite+rake is around 40% of our total damage while rip is merely around 12%. Whatever the playstyle of new bt will be its new itteration is a NERF! Add this on top of all the other factors wrong with feral, losing SI, being out utilitied by every other druid spec and this spec could potentially see very little playability.

They should give mighty bash to us as a baseline. Compared to balance changes we getting are getting nerfed than Improvements
