Feral Random BGs

I only enjoy Feral for Druids. Is it worth it for Random BGs? Does it hold its own and can survive team fights and DoT them up?

Feral isnt good at anything except for arenas and even in arenas it still doesnt excel, its only good or ok.

Not really seeing them doing that great personally. I am playing resto in BGs.

resto or balance. The other two, guardian and feral are pathetic. All my son and I do is play BGs and we hardly ever see Feral druids.
If we see a feral, he isn’t making much difference in the game, if any. They get completely blowed up.
Its sad to see the state ferals are in.
Funny how people were so excited about ferals getting the haste change to their Bleeds. I told everyone that just because they added haste to our bleeds doesn’t mean Blizz will not tune our bleed damage down to compensate LOL and ofcorse that’s what they did.
Since the haste change, our bleeds are worse!!! LOLOLOL.
Just unreal…RiP FERAL.

I recently made the switch from boomie. Although I don’t top the meters anymore, I feel like I contribute much more to my team. I can put pressure a lot faster on flag retrieval as well.

I haven’t noticed any difference in survival. If you get caught and your cd’s are down, you are dead regardless :ghost:

Feral can be quite effective in objective play or team fights, though right now I would say a boomy is superior in most team fight situations as well as most cc cap situations(clone, root beam, starsurges into targets for kills, good pad)

If you were to ask me the strength of feral it’s the ability to get to the right spot quickly, with high burst , possibly in stealth

Boomy has higher burst than feral, also good mobility and stealth. Raking ferocity will also be gone in 8.1 so no more burst.

I have a blast in random BGs. Are we the best? No, but we can be extremely annoying and offer a lot of peels/snares/control and believe it or not, spreading damage isn’t that bad and often quite effective.

In CTF maps you could spec into guardian affin and run the flag, specially with things like Malornes Swiftness and improved roar.

Outside of that, Druids can defend quite well considering they have very good 1vX capabilities if played well.

I also enjoy picking people off 1 by 1 if they’re alone defending or trying to catch up with the herd.

If you enjoy Feral, play feral. Boomkin is great if you wanna top the damage meters, possibly 2 shot people and AoE silence/spam clone. Boomkin is one of the best PvP specs, but it does require some backup as certain specs can be problematic to deal with.

Feral is excellent in random BGs

Unless you’re the better version of Feral, a Rogue.

Rogues are equally as squishy if not more squishy without cooldowns. Ferals actually have fairly good self heals and escapes.

Ferals biggest weakness is stuns, if you don’t pre bear/wall you’re going to have a bad time. I don’t see how that’s any different if you do the same to a rogue.

Rogues have way more defensive CDs, and a good Rogue can get out of most, if not all situations with out dying. Feral healing isn’t what it used to be when HT was around. Taking Clone away from them hindered their toolkit badly. I know they are getting it back, but Feral will never be what it was back in MoP when insta-clone, HT, Sooth and Hibernate were all part of their kit. I played nothing but Feral as a main up until the start os Legion when I realized the joke they created with it. I play Mut Rogue because it reminds me of old school feral. I am not trashing Feral Druids. I would love for it to come back to the glory it was because, selfishly, I would love to play mine again. Just don’t see it happening.

I dont play raking ferocity.

From a stealth open, with the setup i play, feral has more burst in the first 8 seconds of the open than a boomy. Feral is significantly faster than a boomy with stampeding roar and 15 percent baseline more movement speed.
