Feral needs a adjustment for our defensives!
Currently we are perma target in all arenas no matter the opponent.
Our defensives are not bad but if we dont sit bear we just melt.
the gameplay is absolutely abismal to play when you dont actually play games you just sit bear and run.
we need to reduce the strength of our defensive cd’s and buff base resistance. literally everyone is tankier than us even cloth classes feel beefier.
there should be some isntance ever where you dont just train the feral, and atm it just doesnt ever happen
I definitely feel squishier at the start of the season, hoping that will get better. I don’t think we’re too far off from being decent defensively. My biggest issue is that being forced into bear and doing too little damage (as opposed to say a warrior going D stance and still wrecking).
I feel like Bear abilities (in Feral/Balance) could use a damage buff.
The nerf to cd on stun hurts survival a lot. Feral was very strong last season but the nerfs this season combined with buffs to other classes has definitely left feral feeling kinda meh. Still good… But definitely lower A tier I think.
Its not just about power though, if we need a retune after it would make sense but being the only melee class that has to run away like a caster all game is not a good gameplay.
even if we make the gap and get away what do we do…
wait 30 seconds for dots to drop and restealth? the gameplay loop is lame and needs to be assessed.
now that there is little to no value/strangth in our heals, spell casts, and bear form(dmg) if we are just forced into being a budget rogue in pvp the gameplay is bad and needs assessed
Not trying to be sassy or anything, but it just kind of sounds like you don’t like druid much.
I understand your frustration with our survivability. But you’re ignoring a lot of our utility to say we’re little more than discount rogues.
according to skill capped B tier on the Same level as Enhancement shaman, was a good run boys
the maim nerf was too much and it feels even more clunky to play see u guys in midnight
besides of the maim the only problem most likely is, that this class relies too much on Cyclone defensive wise and also dmg wise
with the high amount of micro cc and short cd on kick + high sustain dmg cyclone feels for a melee class outdated.
some high skilled ferals make it still work, but for 90% of the players even for top players it´s unfun, clunky
and devs cant/dont want to buff feral as long as cyclone is in its current state.
I have been playing druid since wrath, literally my main for years now with very little alt play compared to majority of the population. I am not ignoring our identity blizzard is, we shouldnt lose all damage in bear, our heals shouldnt be weaker than other melee sustain options while having to aactually cast them. our identity is a hybrid every other option besides being in cat shouldnt feel like it does nothing at all. I am also not making statements on thier current power level as they can be competative and are in a decent spot.
My issue is atm the gameplay style for feral in pvp is very lacking. heals were reduced a while back making regrowth feel little more then a tick of a hot and it costs a GCD. half the melees have better sustain than a hybrid class. our defense relies to heavy on bear while heavy nerfing our dmg. most melee classes can use defensives or be defensive without cutting their damage by 90%.
our utility is still solid and our damage is fine we have a place still but the gameplay is just not pleasant atm. reduce our damage a bit increase our survability outsidee of bear and we will be nice to play. having to perma run away all game as a melee is just not a good playstyle.
Completely agree. I do like the class fantasy of bobbing and weaving, hitting them hard with bleeds, running out, loading up dots, but while we’re in the fray we get wrecked.
I still firmly believe Feral should have no gcd on shifting if done within a few seconds. Didn’t we have a talent like this before?
Agreed with this too. Heals are too week, Bear doesn’t hit hard enough, both need to be addressed.

I don’t think we even need to reduce damage, it’s fine where it is. Like you said, the utility is there but we need to be able to use it. I’d like Feral to be in a solid A+ tier, not S tier and not B tier.
We could use a buff to our overall healing, better damage in bear form.

Boomkin needs more help. It dies through everything. Every game is won or lost in less than 90 seconds.
Bear form and boomkin could use armor buffs or Stam.
Keep this to the topic about Feral. Boomkin does need defensive help too, but it’s damage is insane right now. Feral doesn’t quite have that at the moment either.

The reason I brought it up is a buff to bear form helps feral and moonkin both. Hate to break it to you but you can’t solution these things in a vacuum on a class.
Can you provide “feral only mitigation buffs”, yes absolutely, but they also could choose a buff that impacts all forms of druid, such as buffing bear form, barkskin, etc.
yeah i feel like that wow hits a point like league of legends did
in league of legends, the first champs until season 4 was just simple designed, then after it, champs got more complex, and outperformed the older champs just by having higher utility to close games faster while also having top dmg
what did riot do? they just took the lazy path and buffed the older champs with 10000000% more dmg for each spell and the same happens currently to boomy and happend to feral
so if a class have no modern matching utility or survivalbility as an baindaid fix u just keep buffing the outdated classes dmg wise until to a point where this class does an high amount of dmg, what is survivalbility in the same time
so yeah devs did really boring work with Boomy/feral in PvP even to an point where it should be illegal.
now with the maim nerf + high dmg nerf feral lost both utility + dmg
also how the dmg pathing works is not good, feral needs Singletarget dmg to close the game by itself, instead of relying on their team mates
being an snowball cyclone and maim bot isnt fun gameplay for most of the players especially in shuffle when u getting tunneled by 2 melees
imagine getting a cyclone against rsham/dk/ww monk gl with that.
Problem with Bearform is also, that most of the classes do full magic or bleed/dot dmg now, what bypass the Armor completely
the Gameplay i just too fast + the sustain dmg from most of the classes is too high what makes Bearform outperforming by itself Bearform = momentum lose, and currently momentum is also a way of survivalbility especially in shuffle
either increase magic Dmg reduction in bear form, make the pace of the game slower in general or rework feral defensive cd´s/ or buff sustain healing either in bear or cat
currently if the enemy put you once in bearform, especially when the dampening ramps up really quickly it´s almost a autolose
also to prebear stuns doesnt matter that much anymore, like in previous expansions they just go threw and yelling dadadadadadadada
Both need´s help and love, it´s just cringe to just passive buffing their Dmg, and call it a day
The statement ‘Boomkin needs more help’ implies that Feral is less important. Pitting specs against each other is quite unhelpful and having a spec superiority mentality I feel is immature.
I’m not sure that was your intention but it came across that way. PS. Boomkin is pretty much in S tier in every pvp tier list and that’s purely from the damage point of view since it’s defensives are not great. I don’t think we need to be disingenuous about how much damage we do as boomies rn.
That being said my preference is to buff Regrowth and/or the utility of predatory swiftness. The skin + wall that Feral has is fine, but self healing is sub par.
