I’m the third tank in our guild, and they use me to MT broodlord/vael. I dps sometimes, tank sometimes, and decurse on other fights… Its honestly almost exactly what I wanted when I pictured myself raiding at 60… really happy with my spot. I’ve looked at build all over the internet and no one seems to use the one I do… probably because I only take 4/5 HOTW… I know most people would be like WTF! but… I’m able to pick all MAJOR cat/bear talents in one tree.

I’m sacrificing 4% stam, and 4% str in bear and cat form respectively… I think its worth it.

Honestly, I don’t think following the “meta trees” to the T is essential. Mix it up. Have fun. If you didn’t say anything, most folks would probably not notice!
Gotta ask, how long are your typical Vael and Chromag kills? Because the faster your kills are as a guild, the less you need natural shapeshifter, and that opens up a bunch of options.
You need natural shapeshifter for DPS when not tanking
I play a feral tank who is full bis BWL geared. I pretty much feel there is no need to go a hybrid spec unless you plan PvP hard outside of raid times. I feel leader of the pack is super useful. You’re sacrifing 3% crit without it. Even with 0 restro points, you can min max you restro gear to be able to heal in every dungeon in the game.

I never sacrificed it. I didn’t go HOTW spec.
Only other option I see is dropping a point in Savage Fury…IDK how that math works out though.
IMO, I think your build looks fine the way it is!
Anytime someone forgoes the meta mindset, I’m happy. So, good on you!

I use the same except I drop a point in primal fury. Tanking zg / 5 man trash can be annoying with the loss in rage generation but I’ve never had issues on single target.

Its a good spec for what you use it for.
The only suggestion I can make is, if you have another Druid, they could instant cast FF every 40s, that would allow you to drop FFF.
That may cause an issue in ZG and AQ 20 if your the only Druid though.
Just a thought.
The loss of 4% str is a meaningful DPS loss. I don’t know that I would miss 4% sta, because I basically never come close to dying while tanking current content (I tank everything), but that could easily change in AQ.
Losing one point in Natural Shapeshifter for 4% str if you are often in cat form may be well worth it. Losing that same point for 4% sta in AQ might be meaningful as well. I would suggest you lose that one point and put it into HOTW. If you are running out of mana (with mana pots) then maybe change it back, but I suspect you won’t. The fights just don’t last that long currently.
