Is feral druid truly as bad as everyone says?
How are they for PvE ?
How are they for PvP?
Questing?
Raiding?
Gearing?
Skill floor?
Do you have real experience as a Feral?
Thank you!
Bad for pve decent utility for pvp
Depends more on what you want to do with Feral.
Can they dps well? Yes, but only with way more consumes being needed to just be decent when compared to rogues, warriors, and mages. Also get ready to farm Gnomer A LOT.
For tanking? They are pretty good, massive armor and health pools but they also take more damage than other tanks. Most likely a better off tank than a main one but all around not bad.
Do cat form druids think of anything while a cat?
I would imagine it’s like orange tabby cats IRL where they all share one collective brain cell…
PvE: great for OT’s decent for dps if you put the work in for MCP farming.
PvP: they’re good, you’ll have some classes you counter hard and there will be some classes that counter you hard.
Questing: Super quick and convenient.
Raiding: You’ll be able to easily fill a 2-4th tank spot. Key is be flexible with your raid. Sometimes you’ll be tanking, other times you’ll be dps’n, and others you’ll be decursing.
Gearing: Super quick, bonus you’ll have is you won’t be competing with the Warr tanks for 85% of the gear that’s dropping and any guild worth anything will prio gearing their tanks first so you should have first dibs on leather items that drop.
Skill floor: way more button pushing then most other classes with power shifting, observing what is happening in the fight, and stepping up to fill roles as they become needed. You essentially fill the Swiss Army knife roll as a feral and aren’t so much a singular roll as much as you are suppose to fill gaps that open while in fights. You also have extremely important spells such as innerv/brez that can literally change a wipe to a win.
History with feral: classic 2019, SoM, era played feral MC-Naxx and rank 11 for PvP.
Having to repeatedly farm the mace is the killer for me. Can deal with everything else because cat rawr.
Truly the worse part about feral is this lol
There is no way in #=]] I’m farming Gnomer. So I assume I would have to heal raids and could just feral pvp.
Exactly, just sounds kinda terrible.
With dual spec coming though it’ll be a lot more convenient. I plan on going Feral/Resto for Vanilla as well as BC. Will more than likely get a few pieces of gear and maybe dabble in a few dungeons in Vanilla, but my goal is BC so it’ll be parked not long after hitting 60.
Enjoy farming manual crowd pummelers for the whole game.
I’m def. skipping this part LOL.
I’ll go Feral for questing/General and Resto for dungeons/raiding. If I even do that in Vanilla… Time will tell!
Yeah, this time around I’m taking a break from feral and will go boomkin and balance/resto hybrid.
u talking about feral tank or feral dps? is this classic classic or classic or retail.
The upcoming fresh, and DPS
Yeah to maximize feral dps you’ll need to be a war criminal to gnomes and robots lol
And either be a blacksmith for Iron Counterweights or make people insanely rich via the AH by buying them constantly.
MCP needs to just have its charges removed and gain a CD (e.g like 10 mins). The functionality of the item will remain the same overall, just dont have to go full Exterminatus on Gnomer.
Very well haha, ty. I will nave to pass. Which blows because I’ve love cat ganking and questing. I’ve been watching a lot of videos and they all confirm what you all are saying.
Feral druid isn’t bad like enhance shaman bad but it requires more knowledge and it’s auctally best performing hybrid dps spec in PvE. I highly suggest looking at guides and gear to optimize most out of it. Feral druid players typically are really good or really bad. If you enjoy more engage gameplay style with extra steps it will keep you on your toes. But if want class similar but half work roll rogue. Best luck to you!
