Feral druid questions!

Hey fellow feral druids! I have a few questions about class mechanics that I’d like to figure out.

Does blood talons effect rip and rake and increase their dot damage for the duration of their damage over time. If so, does that also mean refreshing rip with a ferocious bite also causes rip to be affected by that single blood talons charge?

Should I only use ferocious bit at 50+ energy?

Why do I see druids keeping thrash up single target when it seems to do so much less damage than shred?

Feral is the only class I am aware of where “snap shotting” still exists. That means all your bleeds will stay as strong as they were when applied and not dynamically update.

When you refresh rip you do not cast a new one do you keep the same snap shot from the start.

So then would it be worth recasting rip at least once with blood talons active?

Try to keep one going right from the start.

Regrowth
Stealth
Tiger fury
Rake
Rip ( this gives you 8 seconds or more if you crit)
Shred to build points
Bite before rip times out keeping the snapshot from your opener.
Shred again to build
Use your regrowth proc to apply rake and bite again.

That’s single target assuming you have sabortoorh.

There is an amazing set of weak auras that tell you if your current bleeds and more or less powerful that the ones you could apply with current buffs. I can’t remember the name of it though. Try feral bleed tracker or something or just look under the WA for feral druids

Thank you, for some reason I kept forgetting about pre regrowth.

I also remembered another question, should I spend at 4 combo points or always wait until 5 and just forget about the combo point I may of overcapped on from a crit.

Thank you Aveldruid! I’ve recently got into Feral and have been trying my best to optimize my damage output!

Yes it does. And if rip was applied with a blood talon charge, refreshing it will maintain that buff. That’s what “snapshotting” is.

Yes. Unless rip is about to fall off and you simply cannot wait.

Because they stack wild fleshrending traits which increases swipe and shred dmg on enemies with thrash applied.

Np problem. I’m not great on my feral but I think I understand it. Check out wowhead for the details etc.

Those guys are awesome.
