Anyone know what Ferals use for AoE dps (5 man dungeons) before level 71? Are we supposed to go into caster form and hurricane during AoE pulls? Spread Rakes on multiple targets? Swap into Bear form to swipe them?
become the tank and spam bear swipe.
cat dont have aoe before 71, its sad but it is what it is
Hurricane is an option, but it’s not very good since you don’t have spell power gear. You could take the talent that turns agi into spell power for a little extra oomph though.
There’s a few other classes in a similar scenario, but you don’t really need to worry too much about AoE in leveling dungeons. Stuff dies pretty quickly anyway and your ST works just fine on bosses 
You’d think this would have been fixed a long time ago, but I leveled a rogue in BfA for the allied race armor and they didn’t get an AoE for a really long time there too. It feels like any time after MoP Blizzard should have been like, “Hmmm, what are the basic things any class’s toolkit needs?”, then just made sure everybody had access to that within the first 20% of level cap or so.
Depending on the speed of the group throw out 4-5 rakes then hurricane. Once oom innervate and do again.
If innervate is down i would rake the 4-5 targets, the go bear>enrage>maul/swipe spam.
I found you could generally keep this rotation up and going. Just make sure you dont get into a situation where youre oom and cant go cat of bear.
at 71 and with more strength/Agi you should be shifting into bear with low energy to swipe/maul. Generally you can rake>savage roar>cat swipe>TF>cat swipe>cat swipe>Bear/enrage>bear swipe/maul x3> shift cat>swipe X2.
Mangle, rip, shred, run to next mob, repeat.
1st mob should die before reaching you, run back to loot corpse while 2nd mob is bleeding out
You cant shred while solo leveling btw and mangle spam is far more efficient than anything else for cat.
You almost never need to use a spender while soloing unless its an elite.

My suggestion before getting mangle is to spec down resto until you get omen of clarity.
You can do something like furor 5, Naturalist 2, master shapeshifter 3, omen of clarity.
Once you hit 50 spec back into full feral to get Mangle.

yeah there really isnt much else down the resto tree besides those talents. Then again there really isnt much in the feral tree while leveling. King of the jungle is good.
