I played season 1 99% as Wildstalker - going into season 2 I thought to try Druid of the Claw. I def could be playing it wrong but I feel like I want to sit around waiting for the proc to boost my bite. Is this the way it’s meant to be played? Usually happens I wait for a bite - don’t get the proc - bite anyway - then immediately get the proc. Then I’m rushing to get 5 combo points back before the buff expires. It doesn’t feel very good - but I could be playing it wrong. It’s why I stuck with WS in season 1.
For a gameplay perspective couldn’t they have given us a way to control the proc? Like a combo similar to blood talons? Or give us the old way of of casting heal to proc it? It just feels very blah in its current implementation.
Again 100% could be me misunderstanding it. Just a thread for discussion.
Consider it a random buff. Play like you normally would, and just enjoy the extra boost when it’s available.

well im seeing that i frenzied regen and iron skin are permanently greyed out when i spec to druid of the claw, even though i have the hero nodes selected for it
Small indie company they might fix
Also just make sure you have them selected in the druid class talents, and if you do unselect then reselect them
Two things, take killing strikes in the druid of the claw hero tree, with this talent you need to tigers fury after you enter combat otherwise you won’t get the guaranteed ravage proc from pressing tigers fury
Second whilst in berserk on multiple targets you can pretty much guarantee ravage procs by pressing brutal slash or thrash because the druid of the claw capstone is 25% per target so if you press brutal slash in berserk on lets say 5 targets you have a 76.8% chance of ravage proccing
druid of the claw does the majority of its damage in berserk where the ravage proc can be some what controlled
If I spent 99% of S1 as Wildstalker, i don’t think i could get into DotC either. It shines when you can use it on the biggest pulls your tank can gather, try it on easy content, low keys, first until you get a feel for it. I think it becomes automatic fairly quickly then you can move to challenging content.
Don’t over think it. You do wait for procs (and energy) but there’s things you can do, throw some regrowths around or whatever
Still requires Bear form to use
thats not what the hero talents say
the talents states you can now use fregen and iron fur in cat form
Ironfur requires bear form but will transfer to cat form, Frenzied Regen can be used in Cat Form for 40 energy (this requires the 3rd node on the left, Empowered Shapeshifting)
You’re right, my apologies, was half thinking
Frenzied Regen can be cast in cat form, but requires 40 energy
Iron Fur requires bear form, but transfers back over to cat form.
aye, however in cat form, its not letting me
Make sure you have Empowered Shifting talented, if you do submit a bug report or reset your talents to Wildstalker then back to DotC.
Try taking it off your bars, then putting it back on your bars from the spell book
Thanks for the feedback. Was paying a bit more attention to tigers fury to get the free buff. I think Im starting to get the hang of it. I have not directly compared yet but my DPS seems much higher in world content as DotC rather then WS. I was getting up to 1.4mil dps and stayed relatively high.
As WS I notice I could drop pretty low at times (400k). I did not go back and forth and compare though so could be just conjecture. Actually sometimes my DPS was sub 400k for a 621 Ilvl. My dps felt bugged at times due to the lack of damage I was seeing. But never looked into it too deeply since it just world content.
