On the one hand, Night elves have an extra racial that meshes with stealth, an additional vanish and some theming with the Wardens (Fan of Knives being an ability Wardens had in WC3)
Void Elves got all the shadowy theme, probably mesh better with a modern rogue (pistols and such) Veleera is one of the iconic rogues despite being a Blood elf. Have a bit of an organization with the Ghostblade Scouts.

in terms of power i suppose void elf might sim a little higher but shadowmeld is probably more useful than void rift usually

Female night elf. Female night elf rogue is one of the most iconic race / class combos. It’s right up there with male undead rogue.
Well, you’re half right. Male undead rogue is more iconic. Female druid was legit just in the original cutscene from WoW, so arguably more iconic than rogue for them lol
True… Thought I’d shake it up a little on my alliance list.
I still need to decide, Male or Female for my Druid. Talrunas or Elyssra (or Elyissia, that’s another thing I need to decide on)

It also depends on what kind of content you wanna do on said rogue. If you’re not going to do anything other than world content, then the choice is largely cosmetic and up to you. But if you’re going to be doing something like arena, having the bonus vanish which will give you free restealths is too good to pass up.

Based on the number of classes asked about I think it’s world content.
My vote agrees with yours. Female Night Elf for the win. Additional stealth goes hard.
well, thankfully I already have a name set aside for female Night elf. Didn’t have one for Male Void Elf.
I started out a belf rogue then later switched to velf because I missed being Alliance and believed the lore supported the decision. But I’m solo casual. So I think it depends more on the content you want to do. And for me, regardless, I’m thinking of going back to belf because I miss the feeling of the attributes and being a bad butt at it.
Just to toss this out there, female blood elf models or void elf model has the best stealth animation in the game imo. I never could get into night elf female stealth animation as much, they just look so angry. Lol void elves look sneakier.
Yea, but their melee animations are… meh.

I have a void elf sub rogue. It fits perfectly with that spec’s emphasis on shadow damage. Although they did kind of tone that down this expansion when they brought back the class-centric stuff. I preferred it when it was pretty much all shadow, all the time. Still works well though.
I also have a human rogue, and I’ve been toying with the idea of changing them to night elf ever since we learned we were getting warden armor. They started life as a night elf, so it seems right. At least I think they did. Actually it might have been the void elf. The human might have started as a worgen rogue. I’ve lost track.
