Female dwarves still have no beard options?

Come on, you know it’s the right thing to do.

If only female kul tirans could have a beard, then I could reference the pod escape scene from spaceballs.

I will accept this too.

Some settings handle all dwarves being hairier in general well. And I always liked the way AoW 3 depicted it.

But with WoW’s amazing writers I’d worry they make dwarf women the but of bad jokes as much as Cata did for belf males. Since it only matters if we show non-toxic gender roles when it’s humans after all.

Beards for the ladies would’ve been a pretty good addition; unique and technically supported in lore, albeit arguably obscure. Would’ve great with the Wildhammer tats. A bit strange that it didn’t happen with the wave of new options, especially seeing how they seemed to struggle (or drag their heels) with a lot races.

No. This was a stupid joke in LOTR, and it’s a stupid idea for WoW.

A feminine face with a beard is uncanny and ugly.

Some races made out like bandits on the customization front and some core races got, like, three new things and their players get called spoiled for expecting better, such is the way of things

This isn’t Discworld, it’s Warcraft.

Funny as it might be, let’s allow our universes to be at least slightly distinct.

Beard options need to be available to dwarves regardless of gender. Leave the clean shaven female dwarf option there, but every dwarf should at least have the option to grow a beard.

I’ve read there’s a reference to Dwarf women with beards in Day of the Dragon and, while arguably irrelevant, there were depictions of such in Warcraft Adventures.

whoa bro. this is 2021. beareded women have been a thing since egyptian pharaohs. get with the times.

you are being twokesic af.

I always liked the idea that “female dwarf beards” weren’t full like the male beards. They wouldn’t have mustaches, and their beards would only follow the jawline and not encroach on the face. There was one female dwarf beard in Neverwinter Nights that was basically two tiny braided tails below the chin. Was enough to be a beard, yet didn’t look too masculine, either.

People can call ugliness beauty if they want, but it won’t change what is true.

Uncanny things are ugly or disturbing, or both, and will always be that way even if you’re forced to lie about it.
