This is just upsetting. Why is it that female dwarves do not have beard options in WoW? This is something that I find untrue and offensive. Traditionally, female dwarves have beards. This aspect of the race has been around since The Lord of the Rings and in turn D&D AKA 1960’s or earlier. I just don’t get the disconnnect.
Get your stuff together Blizz. Try to at least stay on par with the race fantasy if you are going to borrow so heavily from the creators of it.

I dont want female dwarves with beards. Its almost always just a jokey ‘hurrdurr, they’re not hyper feminine so they might as well just be men xD’ thing.

Not even close? They legitimately as a race have beards as women. It has nothing to do with, “they are not very feminine, so we may add well as beards.”
They definitely have breasts and can reproduce, they are women.

This injustice must be stopped! I understand that they don’t mimic the original lore for the races, but they sure would not impact the player base if they added them as an option anyway. I am fairly sure that Female Dwarves are either last or tied for last as far as how many people play them. Maybe if they gave them beards for the purpose of a joke, it may cause more to play them, to be funny.

Follow me here. What I mean is, from my perspective they should add them because they should have them. However, if we go with what you said in regards to the “meme” factor of it, I would be content if they did. At least the end result would be the same. It is just I would play it seriously, where as others would choose it as a meme. At least we may get more Female Dwarves.
By the way, I do not mean ALL female dwarves have beards… I mean they have the option. Key important factor here.

If people already have bad enough taste that they dont like female dwarves, beards wont convince them and will just put them off more.

I image-googled “female dwarves.” The vast majority do not have beards, and it’s easy to see why.

Except this isn’t Lord of the Rings or Dungeons and Dragons. This is World of Warcraft. This is the Warcraft Universe. Completely different fantasy to Middle Earth or anywhere else.
If it was a completely different fantasy they wouldn’t have copied the races almost exactly. Halflings, Dwarves, Humans, Orcs, Trolls, Elves, etc…
The world itself is not the same, the races are virtually a carbon copy.

You know, this could be an interesting option. So long as they leave the option to go clean-shaven, this could make for a fun variation of what’s already there even if only for a laugh.
While we’re at it, let’s add long & flowing beards to female elves.
Why? Once again, for a laugh. So why the hell not?

Just because some races have the same race names as other fantasy games/movies, does not mean that they are part of the same fantasy as those games/movies.

Considering Warcraft and by extension, World of Warcraft were originally going to be Warhammer games before Games Workshop pulled out because both they and Blizzard could not come to a deal, I would say they share more in common with Warhammer then they do with DnD and LOTR.
