Why do they seem so well done compared to the males?
Their demon form looks way better, and just more thought out. The males look like a copy and pasted Illidan model

This is probably because they’re genderbent Bootleg Illidans and not just straight Bootleg Illidans. 
I wouldn’t say it’s “more thought out”, although there is definitely some shuffling that needs to be done to make the form work for a female model.
I wish the demon forms had more customization options if I’m honest. With Havoc, it gets confusing when there’s an army of Bootleg Illidans running around so we could use more than just different hair colors and tattoo shapes (they could have at least let us have baseform colors instead of it being all the same fel color).
Vengeance form is neat but it doesn’t last long enough. I always wished there was an equivalent to Demonic for Vengeance spec. Also, more customization would be nice there as well.

The female one just uses some adjusted fem worgen rigging, iirc.
