For those of you who like me only do M+ for endgame content, are yall taking a break after getting Keystone master? I got the mount a month and half ago and now I don’t have any motivation to do M+. Wanted to get 220 ilvl but have been stuck at 216 for a month due to bad luck.
I’m on the fence about taking a break till 9.1 so I have some reason to tank +15s. I’m asking because I wanna figure out whether I dislike the game now or am I just playing for my own content. Anyone else only do the content they want for the patch and then leave till next patch?
I’ve definitely slowed down since getting mine. My personal goal is to push all timed 18’s by 9.1 but I’ve enjoyed just taking a breather working on a different tank or helping guildies with M+
I pugged my entire KSM as a DPS. finishing it out last week. It was… a very interesting experience. And you know what? I would do it again.
Since then i really don’t feel like doing more keys. I try to get 1 in for the vault, but even doing 4 seems a stretch. I finished last week with 7 14+ keys and didn’t actually finish it out at 10 to get my third chest.
But then again, i don’t derive my entire gameplay experience out of keys. i do quite a bit of PVP and have been focusing on that since KSM.
I dont only do mythic plus but I do obtain keystone master. Once I get keystone master, I’ll just hop on alts and mess around until the next patch. Right now, I play every evening, but once I get KSM I will probably play 3 or 4 days a week.
i’ll probably end up getting the pvp mount too. I’ve never done that before so I added it to my list of things to do in SL.
I rolled a Warrior and did keys with that. Then I rolled a Shammy and did keys with that. I’m in the process of trying out Mythic raiding, so far not really on the same tier of fun as M+ maybe I’m going to give it an honest try.
I’m definitely roughly in the same boat as you though OP. Once I hit KSM, which was a satisfying struggle so early on in the season to be fair, I lost a huge chunk of motivation. It hasn’t really been the same. I’m really hoping that Season 2 reignites the flame when it finally does come out.
Well, I’d like to push 17-18’s but I’m stuck at 212 item level. Lately, I think I’ll just stop playing. The chance of getting an upgrade is tiny, and valor points aren’t going to be that useful in their current form. It will take 4 weeks to upgrade one 210 item piece to the highest level. What a complete joke.
I’m one kkry away from KSM. I won’t be taking a break because I’ll be filling up my vault for loot.
I won’t necessarily be pushing higher key levels if that’s what ya mean. No need to do higher than 14/15 as far as I’m concerned, once I get my achievement.
I always love pushing keys, but it’s harder this season than in all of BfA. Item level kinda stuck, most groups trying for KSM want 220+ which is out of reach without drastically changing who I play with. M+ feels like a tacked on mini game instead of a “pillar of endgame”. Yes, I know I can do 15’s at 215, but pugs don’t care, because doing them at 220+ is worlds easier.
The m+ valor changes won’t make it better, either. Need 220 to get 220, usual logic applies.
In BfA, i had good end game gear as a purely m+ player. This tier, I’m locked into heroic item level. It feels bad. It’s not fun.
M+ is not rewarding anymore, I just do 1 to 4 a week (for the vault). I’ve been doing a few more this week because it’s super easy to push, but that happens like once a month.
I’m having the opposite issue you do. Lol My main is 227 ilvl from PvP and now I’m bored trying to start M+ on this toon. Lol Not entirely sure I’ll get all +10’s timed though before S2. This guy is only 185 ilvl right now and not a meta class to do crazy DPS for his ilvl. Don’t think I have too many vault weeks left to farm 210+ gear to increase my numbers with.

and i guess I just don’t feel a lot of drive to push this time around
I’m still doing keys, but mostly just filling up my vault then dorking around on alts.
I won’t take a break, that’s not a thing I do because I’m also raiding. but while I love m+, I’m not enjoying this batch of dungeons as much. maybe that will change next season. we’ll see.
Looking at your armory, a Balance Druid, I can only assume you’re decent at Balance. In spite of having very low vers, if you farm your PVP trinkets you could almost surely get 1800 in RBGs in a week or two then get your 220 gear to progress.
It’s a lot of work doing content you don’t apparently like, but it’s an option. I too waa a high key BFA player, just focused on PvP early this season because Riot ruined M+ IMO. But I honestly kind of miss keys, PvP at 2100+ is getting to be more try-hard than I’m up for.
I hope to finish mine this weekend and I will be focusing on other things after completing it. The benefit to playing a non meta class is that no one in my guild will care if I stop doing keys lol.
