I had my tent on one of the guard towers outside stormwind palace for almost half an xpac. It is definitely possible.

Gets swarmed by all the Vulpera “Why are they always so happy to see me?!”
I used to hearth to my tent last xpac and use it as a jumping off point to attack the flight master, and the trade district lol. Out of the shadows we will come.
