Felguard takes damage in lava?

So I’ve noticed a few times now the Felguard dies when I’m fighting in the Obsidian Citadel area. Upon further review, its taking damage when its standing in lave to hit the lava worms.

My hunter pets don’t seem to suffer the same fate, is there any reason why this is happening?

Also the Demonbolt bug is still in game, at times when used before the pull starts it only awards 1 shard vs the 2 it is supposed to. Thus throwing off the whole rotation.

This happens to all pets, blizz took away the AoE immunity from pets, now they take heaps damage from everything that isn’t a direct hit (like if they’re tanking). I’ve watched my pets taking lots of damage from dungeon bosses with heavy hitting AoE attacks. It’s even worse in TW dungeons because of the scaling, I’ve had pets die repeatedly in one or two hits and they aren’t tanking (obviously, being a dungeon).

It’s stupid because my pet’s healing should NOT be a part of my rotation.

This is disputable, since I’ve always kept Mend Pet up in my rotation in any circumstance that I have a pet out. (Giving up a GCD every 10 seconds is better than getting my own face eaten.)

But the loss pf AoE and environmental mitigation does make the pet a lot squishier.

I keep eyes on the pet health sure, but to “Mend Pet” and or “Health Funnel” non stop seems excessive.

My friends don’t suffer from this as their damage isn’t tied to having a pet, so this feels intetern feels bad when trying to farm keys and its lava worm time.

I don’t try to put my pet(s) in the lave, the AI takes them there to get behind or near the mobs in said lava, and then they die over and over, and my dps is nowhere to be seen.

Now have warmode on and see how much that sucks when its defend the gank time.
